it's not even funny he couldn't have seen it by that time of the day

Just watched It Comes at Night, thought it was great!  The majority of reviews trashed it, but I just don't think they understood it.  The "it" was never meant to be some physical presence/being, much creepier what the "it" actually is because we all experience "it" on a regular basis and most definitely does come at night!  Trying not to give away too much of a spoiler!

Blade Runner 2049 was solid.

The acting and visuals were phenomenal but I always struggle getting through movies that go over 2 hours.

I really want to like Suburbicon, coming out this month. Coen Brothers script, Matt Damon starring, Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac in there, recipe for success.

Too bad it has 4.6 on imdb, 41% on RT, and 46 on metacritic :'( will still watch it though

Saw "Going in Style" starring Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Alan Arkin who play three nearly retired company men whose super has been taken from them by their employer's bank so they decide to rob it. Light, well written and with these guys in the lead roles it was enjoyable. Worth a watch.
Also watched "McLaren" The doco/story of Bruce McLaren, the New Zealander who founded the McLaren Motor Racing team. Learnt a lot. Died at 32, won LeMans, Monte Carlo GP, and countless others. He was a legend whose legacy lives on. If you like F1 and don't mind watching documentaries then this is one to watch.... similar to Senna, which like this I watched on a plane over the ditch.

So after seeing a lot of positive comments about IT here I watched it tonight

It was watchable, but I'm just too cynical when it comes to horrors which is why I haven't watched one in prob 10+ years before this - I just find them so cheesy and lame and just can't buy any of it. I want to believe and feel the fear, but they're all just so predictable and not scary at all, and often have so many gaping problems/hard to believe scenarios

Didn't really have a horror feel at all to it for me personally, but I will admit it wasn't bad to watch as a film overall because I liked the kids and Pennywise too, it was a good cast (Except every single adult was contender for worst parent of the year lol)

Didn't even know Bill was so young - he did really well

I felt like I was watching Stand By Me: The horror version  :P ;D

Overall, nothing fantastic, but not too bad :)

Yeah It wasn't scary at all, but I found it highly entertaining and thats all I ask of a movie these days, pretty tough to come up with an original horror movie that actually scares you.

Pretty much this.

For me, I'd happily watch it again because I enjoyed it for what it was, even if it wasn't that scary.

Even when I saw it in the cinema, most of the people there, including my mate who I went with who watches heaps of scarier stuff was jumping at things but I really wasn't fazed by anything.

It's just a highly entertaining film with a slight thriller/horror vibe for me.

Yeah I agree wasn't at all scary for me because I watch a lot of horror and scary movies and yeah it was entertaining and very enjoyable for me since the original movie was pretty blah and I'd been waiting for this to finally be released.
I will definitely watch it again as well

Still haven't seen it lol .. good to hear Nige, hopefully it doesn't go on too long for me or end abruptly.

@KB ..cmon mate, the original was a classic, maybe it was because I was pretty young when I saw it.

The thing with horror is that it is hard to be original now and even when you do get something that is original and has potential the same scare tactics are used. Building tension isn't scary, but it keeps you in the movie, jump scares can be seen a mile out as 99% build them up with increasing in the sound of music or long pauses of nothingness.
