Finally got round to watching Gone Girl.

Pretty good movie with some good twists. Didn't really like the ending but I guess it was different.

anybody else think there will be lord of the rings spin off movies? i would like to see one for Gollum

I really liked the 3 original LOTR'S movies but honestly thought the last 3 were weaker versions of the first3, 3/5 stars at best for the boring Dwarf centered movies imho. It's hard to make a great sequel let alone a trilogy if good movies were the goal they would have stopped at 3....$$$$$$$$

I liked Gimli but those other dwarfs are just unlikeable, greedy little showers.
Really? Apart from a couple of things that were added into the movies to make it more enjoyable for the non-book readers (such as Legolas jumping on barrels and all that stuff), I thought the movies were really good.

I would not want to see a spin off movie about Gollum though.

Just saw Kingsman

Idk if it was because at the cinema things generally look better or because I was on a date with a hot chick (don't tell her I called her a chick or she'll kill me (Futurama reference)) but it was really really flowering good. flowering Eggsy was brilliant haha, as was the rest of the cast. Sophie Cookson was almost as cute as my date :3 and SLJ with his lisp was both hilarious and magnificently acted. The chick with the blade legs too :o I want some of those! And I never knew the professor was Luke Skywalker until I got home :P and best of all, it was extremely British! 90% of the cast were chavs or geezers

And Free Bird!

Comedy gold, decent story and good action 9.2/10

Loved Kingsmen as well when I went to watch it with friends on holidays. Was a good comedy and had the action there to help out. SLJ was great in the role, and the lisp as you mentioned ;D.

New movie trailer stars Adam Sandler and Kevin James

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2120120/

Looks crap

I always have a soft spot for James because The King Of Queens is one of my favourite sitcoms, but his movies are not good at all

Sandler started off so well with his early movies, but he is the king of crap now and has been for many years

Doing a screen studies class this semester. We're watching a movie every week so I might just post my thoughts on each of them here as we watch them.

Week 1 was The Cabinet of Dr Caligari. Didn't really like it at all. Not a huge fan of black and white, and there was no voice acting at all which annoyed me. There were very few things that interested me. Gave it 2/5 stars.

Week 2 was The Bicycle Thieves. Again black and white, but at least they spoke in this one. That said, it's all Italian so we had subtitles. It was a bit different, didn't love it though. 3/5 stars.

This week we saw Citizen Kane. I'd actually heard of this one but never seen it, only knew it because of this gif. It wasn't bad, but the narrative is non-linear and it was really confusing. Didn't quite live up to the hype for me, but I can see why it's liked. 3.5/5 stars.

Next week we're watching Double Indemnity which I've never heard of in my life.

My Chumps

Awesome Nige! Hope you're enjoying it dude. Screen studies is my major @ Melbourne.

Citizen Kane's probs a ten/10, but my opinion of it is affected by how incredibly influential it is. Still tho, the structure, dialogue, acting and direction (deep focus) are absolutely stellar.

Double Indemnity is a seriously good film too.

Groundhog Day on TV (in WA at least, on West TV) for about the fourth time this year

Still as funny as the first time I saw it, 9.5/10 BILL FLOWERING MURRAY
