For those who liked Conjuring, Annabelle is even better, with more laughs this time :D. I thought Conjuring was pretty bad so Annabelle was a step up, and I was laughing quite a bit at some of the parts. Mainly helped by the cause I went to see it with some who get totally scared with horror movies :P.

Probably scarier than Conjuring for those into that, but was a better watch for me as wasn't as slow.

just watched Lucy

was ok but nothing special

I was pretty hyped for Annabelle, then I saw how universally hated by critics it is and got scared off. It's a good premise, but not being pulled off apparantly so might stay away from it for a while.

I watched it on Saturday night and thought the same

It started really well, but the last 15 mins was just too random

Yeh hated the ending also. Could have been a really awesome movie

kilbluff1985

Yep endings are very important to me they really make or break a movie

So I watched Lake Mungo today, the most obscure horror/drama/mystery ever. It's Aussie, but haven't heard of any of the actors. Pretty good movie, wasn't scary, some parts were quite eerie though, but the plot developed nicely and some of the acting was super despite being pretty much nobodies. Rather unique too, different to the plots of other horrors. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being Paranormal Activity 2/4/5 and 10 being Evil Dead 2, I'd give it a 7.1.

Anyway going on a bit of a horror run now. Watching Blair Witch tonight (again) and looking at calvaire, trick r treat, lovely molly (that one looks great), berberian sound studio, inside, skinwalker ranch, and yellowbrickroad in the near future.

Mercy, a big screen version of King's 1984 short story Gramma - originally published in Weirdbook magazine, before finding a home in 1985's collection Skeleton Crew - has been released onto iTunes with no buildup or promotion.

Looks like it might be alright but it`s only available on iTunes atm
