Hi bud, that's a good team IMO, all you have to do is wait for the pre season games to see which rookies shine.  Well done 8/10.

Pretty Good Team there WestCats
Def: Solid Can't comment on the Rookies until NAB Cup is over
Mids:I don't see a problem here you have the best premiums on the field.
Rucks: Both are Risks thats why quite a few teams have either Minson or Lobbe in there Team
Fwds: Hogan has had an injury scare at Training which luckily wasn't season ending so you may want to rethink that one maybe Lennon. Rohan is too expensive to have on the Bench get someone like Honeychurch there.

Overall Team is pretty good it does have its risks but quite a few teams do i give it a 7.5/10

Nice looking team here mate. A couple of observations:

All your picks are good in your backline but I would try to just play the one rookie on the field if you can. By downgrading a few of the players in the 200 - 250k bracket, you should be able to find the cash to bring in one more premium. I'd look at downgrading three out of Tyson, C Beams, Hogan and Rohan to find the cash you need.

Your midfield looks strong. I like all your premo picks and Daisy is too cheap to pass up. As stated, I would look at downgrading either Tyson or C Beams or both.

Both Nic Nat and Sandi are supreme SC scorers but there is an element of risk with picking both due to their injury history. I would consider just going for one of them.

Your forward line looks great but as I said earlier, I think you should downgrade a couple of those players around the 200 - 250k mark. JKH and Honeychurch are a couple of good options to downgrade to as they are in the mix to play round 1.

Thank you very much lads, had a bit of a re-think and played around with team.

DEF: J. McVeigh B\C  , S. Mitchel B\C  , P. Hanley B\C  ,D.Swallow B\C M. Suckling, K. Kolodjashnij,   (T. Cutler, M. Fuller)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, J. Watson, D. Beams, D. Thomas, J. Martin, B.Acres L. McDonald B\C ,(L. Dunstan, L. Taylor F\C )
RUC: M.Lobbe , A. Sandilands (B.Brown F\R , T. Nankervis)
FWD: P. Dangerfield F\C , D. Martin F\C , C. Dixon F\R  , M. Clark, J. Hogan, A. Fasolo (M.Honeychurch F\C , D. Garlett F\C)
CASH LEFT: $5,400
D.Swallow  comes in at D4.
With mc Donald in mids gives me dpp link to def.
N. Naitanui >  M.Lobbe  I think less risk in my rucks.
Holding Hogan at this stage should be good to go rd 1.
Have I improved or back to the drawing board ?
THANK YOU,

johnnytheboy1

Team Has improved as you have strengthen your Back line and taken out the Risk of Nic Nat getting injured again wouldn't start acres in your mids though give your team an 8/10 now.

THANK YOU,

nice team, well balanced.
Not a fan of the Dixon pick, you can get similar output for a cheaper price from other players.
Walters/Gunston??

didnt Hogan pick up an injury?? will he be ok for Rnd 1??
Dusty to move to DEF

Hey Westcats
I actually like your first team better than the second. Lots of people I've seen are loading only 1 rookie in the back, but I don't see the problem with 2, think both KK and L.McDonald should get game time and I'm doing 3 prem +Suckers with those two on field. My main issue with both teams is your forward line is weak with Clark at f4. My team is very similar you your first team with Pavlich, Clark and Fasolo as f4-6 (No Hogan). There's a heap of good options in the 400k bracket in the forwards, definitely worth a punt on someone there. Fair enough if you don't trust Pav as some have said to me but there's a bunch of top quality players around that price point eg Chapman, Zorko, Buddy (for a bit more). Dixon gives you a nice swingman with Brown but I don't think he will be a top forward by the end of the year. Could be worth it if he ends up and F6/ruck swing but personally I don't see him being up there.

westcats

once again thanks all for the feed back its good to have other peoples opinions on set - up of team and players etc  .
As for Dixon I still  cant forget his start to last year , yes it was against some lower clubs but before his injury in rd 6 he was great. and had a ave 115 for the first 5 rds. injury free and fit I can see 90 - 95 ave at f5 or f6 with dpp as ruck,  as gold .
once nab cup starts we will get a better look at rookies , and decide on team set -up e.g two rookies in the back line or fwds.
No doudt I will change team every day until then but its all fun.

THANK YOU,
Defence is good
Midfield is good
Lobbe could either be an excellent pick, or he could backfire. Time will tell. Not sure how well he will go with Redden back though
Forwards look pretty good

Pretty reasonable team overall, only area that could be weak is your rucks, but it could also work out really well. If you think that Lobbe can play as well as he did at the end of last year, then I wouldn't be making any more changes.

Once again thank you very much lads, made a few changes might just keep this one until nab gets going .

Very strong team!

Defence: solid strong 3 premos and Swallow is a breakout contender and Suckling is a lock! KK is looking to be the only good pick in the defence for a rookie apart from McDonald>

Midfield: First three again are guns but make sure Watson doesn't get caught up in all the ASADA stuff which is apparently still going! Beams and Thomas are both becoming locks and the same as Martin. I like that you have McDonald is the midfield for more flexiblilty! same with Lewis.

Rucks: Standard but Leuy and Sandi are both great picks!

Forwards: First two will be regulars and Dixon is a good pick as he can go in the ruck as well its a shame you couldn't fit a Pav in there aswell but Clark, Hogan and Lennon are the best picks in that area imo

That's a great team I like the flexibility of it! just watch those byes mate

This is an excellent team
Backs: Can't fault them good to see only 1 rookie in defence. 3 strong premiums and the breakout contender in Swallow who should score a few 100+ games.
Mids: Having Mcdonald in the mids maybe a good strategy but others will say he is wasted here and should be in defence. Other than that a strong Midfield
Rucks: Strong here with Leuey a good choice as R1
Fwds: Dixon is  a good pick here as you can use him as a ruck if one of your rucks goes down rather than waste money on a trade. it would have been out of him and Buddy. Other selections are good.

I give this team an 8.5/10 because it dosen't have many weaknesses.

willsy13

No need to set up swing sets through midfield.. trade them in!

8/10

 :) :)
Nice team Westy. You're running 18 mid / for / def  the same as me. I reckon that's where the scores and quick cash building come from. Before I started on my side I picked what I thought would be my best 22 players on current knowledge and tried to get as many of those in as possible whilst also going for the best and quickest cash earners. The earners are only guessed until we see some action but I got 14 of my 22 in my most recent team. Can see maybe 12 to 13 in yours depending on how Suckers goes. The only change I would make would be to bring McDonald back to defence and bring another mid earner in the midfield. You can always cross trade later on. As in perhaps trade a mid rookie out swing Macca in to the mid then bring another defender in. That's how I've got my mid / def  and   mid / for   set up. Once again very nice team and best of luck when the fun begins.  ;) ;)   Sorry for taking so long to look you up but have been working my freckle off. Cheers.
