Backs:: pretty standard..  Although ou are spending a lot on rookies. Scharenberg is apparently injured and won't be ready round 1.
Mids: first team I have seen with swan! Who would've thought he would be a POD! Good pick.  Again you could save some money with the rookies.. But beams and Tyson could be good cash cows
Rucks:: risky with longer at R2, I would rather Sandilands.. But that too is a risk.. There's a reason why the saints chased longer, so it might be a very good pick..
Forwards: dangerfield should be in every team. Really like the picks of Dixon and gunston. I think both will have good years..
I really like your team. There is a few unique players in there. I give it a 8.5/10.

Cheers mate! Yeah I wasn't too keen on Scharenberg either... Do you know any other cheaper rookies who have a chance to play round 1?

For the backline? Maybe battersby.. Even gardiner, but he won't score much as he's a shut down defender

So I've put in battersby for Scharenberg which gives me about $105,000. Problem is what to do with the money left over?

Def: Solid mate. Will be identical to mine if KK is named round 1.
Mid: Very strong here, good POD in swan, great rookie choices.
Rucks: Really want Lobbe myself, will improve. Not so sure about longer, maybe rockliff/Watson to daisy, which will enable you to get a more proven ruckman.
Fwd: Risky but could pay off, Dixon had good glimpses last season and gunston dominated the second half of the year. pav I don't see improving too much, maybe 85.

Overall: Solid team mate with a few PODs, only issue in longer atm and the risky forward line, best of luck. 8/10

Def: Solid defence i also agree about saving money by leaving Scharenberg out.
Mids: Good POD with Swan haven't seen him in many teams this year. Can't rate th rookies apart from Tyson who should improve more this year.
Rucks: I would replace Longer with Grundy.
Fwds: If you don't want to make the change in the Ruck i would look at making it here i would get Ben Lennon in and leave Kennedy-Harris out & Move Taylor to the Bench
