Profile

Hunter didn't receive the same attention as some other rookies in 2013 but he transitioned from the juniors to VFL with ease before making his debut in Round 13 vs Richmond for a nice score of 86. He only missed two further games for the season but was used as a sub on four occasions which limited his ability to rise in value. As such he is underpriced this season (his unsubbed average was 71.8).

Hunter is too good to languish in the VFL and with the departure of Crameri there's an increased need for someone with his goalkicking potential and ability to win the ball. It's extremely hard to justify paying 271k for a second year player, however I think it's achievable for him to reach around 400k by the Bulldogs' Round 9 bye and be an easy stepping stone to a premium. Not many will be willing to take the risk but those who do could be rewarded handsomely.

Projected Average: 71-75

Hey MC, I believe you mentioned the departure of Crameri will help Hunter get game time but Crameri joined the bulldogs, thought I'd let you know,  :)

Could of swore I pm'd this...  :o It must be hot,  ::)

I too think he'll do well this year, will need to avoid the vest though

Too expensive for me for a player that is unlikely to score much better or has better has than cheaper rookies. Pass for me.

Could he be the wingard of 2014? Apparently tearing up the trac. The dogs should definitely improve and he has had good numbers wherever he has played. Vfl and tac cup, massive smokey but I'm on board ATM.

Wingard had an exceptional 2nd year, i wouldn't expect anyone to increase their average by that much in their second year!

who knows. fyfe did it in his second year. your probably right however an average of 80 might not be out of the question. although he will prob be playing a half forward role which might be hard. hes defintely one to watch in the nab
