Ok thought I might keep a record of my team this year and track the changes.

Real DT Teams
v1.0 January
v2.0 January

#1
Notes:
- Rooks will become more obvious soon but have gone fairly expensive to cover myself if cheaper ones come up.
- Sandi needs to be fit through preseason
- Real focus on under priced premo's with Simpson, Henderson, Birchall, Murphy, Beams, Rocky, Thomas, Stanton, Sandi, Chapman, Buddy.
- SSelwood and NicNat are their purely for their starting fixture, and NicNat is also underpriced.
- Caddy is there because based on his unsubbed average he is close to 100k underpriced. Then comes natural improvement on top of that.
- If Karny doesn't play I will drop back to a rookie or Fasolo.

Anything else thats glaringly obvious, let me know :)

Not yet, but will definitely try. If another good fwd rookie pops up soon then Garlett will go into the mids, giving me that link.

Notes:
- Changes made are:
Karnezis to Pavlich. Just have to have the champ in there. He is in ripper form this preseason and should get back to his best.
Michie to Ellis. Ellis more proven and a lot cheaper. Needed the cash
Stanton to Watson. Watson also underpriced like Stanton but cheaper as well.
Hanley to Hansen. Hansen priced at 72ave but went 79 unsubbed and averaged a nice 88 when move to defence after R6.
- Backline is weaker but there is a lot of value there
- Will need to re-assess to see where Hansen lines up during NAB Challenge. If its down back then he will thrive again.

I have actually just switched Pavlich to Darling this morning.

And this is why.

RD1 WCE v Bulldogs
RD2 WCE v Melbourne
RD3 WCE v Saints

Hey mate, nice team.

I was going to say I'm not sold on Pavlich for DT. He's a little underpriced but probably more of a SC player.

Being an Eagles fan I'm not sure on Xavier Ellis. I think there are better options out there, namely Michie.

Also I don't think starting with both Nic Nat and Sandilands is a good idea. In a comp with limited trades having two injury-prone ruckman could be a real worry. I'd look at someone solid to accompany Sandi - Minson, Goldy or Leuenberger perhaps.

Lachie Hansen is not the greatest DT scorer either down back. I'd be looking elsewhere there. Maybe up to Seedsman if you can afford it, if not then at David Swallow who is definitely under-priced imo.

One more thing - I think Derickx is second ruck behind Pyke over Nank and is the same price I believe so I'd go him there.

Ricochet

Thanks mate.
On Hansen, have a read of my notes above. Hansen dominated when he shifted down back.
NicNat is only there for the early fixture. Surely he should last a few games early on. I may look to upgrade if he isnt looking good R1

thanks for the feedback though

Really like your team mate has a lot of value but there's really only one concern with me. If you have all these under-priced premiums not all will be top 10 in their respective positions and therefore they will act as a stepping stone to a top 10 premium.  Most teams have 13 set and forget premiums that will be in the top for their positions, but Henderson, Hansen, Chapman, Pavlich, Sandilands, Thomas, Suckling, Caddy and Clarke are just too many under-priced players because most will need to be upgraded. I understand Sandi, clarke and suckling are there to be stepping stones but the rest may not produce consistent premium scores but the rest will require one of those precious trades to be upgraded.

Ricochet

The theory behind it is you will need less trades to upgrade/downgrade rookies which can then be used on sideways trading. You are also then able to pickup premo's at lower prices throughout the season rather than at their starting price. It worked for me fairly well in SuperCoach last year so gonna give this strategy a run in DT this year as well.

Ricochet

Also adding Savage to the watchlist.

- Priced at a 67ave but went 85 unsubbed
- That equals 100-120k underpriced.
- GWS and Melbourne to start the year also.
- Only concern is performing in a weaker side

Hey Ric..... just checking in...not sure this theory atually works out.....What wins is amount of points scored and therefore winning games every week..if mid pricers score ...you win..but only if you have them.... ::) 8)
