Higgins lost my respect when he "injured" himself on the rough Etihad surface...I played on grounds with rocks and potholes...person

It was a pretty legit injury to be fair :P
I know but it happened like this:
my first year of dt...the kid who had bragged for nearly a whole year, he was Hercules or Goliath, I was a n00b. I picked Higgins on a whim and some decent scores, I had the same players left plus Higgins, yet he was ahead by 76 points, a precarious position if I say so myself. everything was going beautifully and I was going to win by a fair bit...until I saw on the lives scores on fanfooty that Higgins had received the dreaded red cross and for what scratching his knee...I lost by 20 points.
the artificial pitches that are on the boundary of the MCG are 5X worse than the Etihad surface.
worse still I went to the ACDC concert that ruined the surface....Hells Bells indeed

Now we have limited trades again are guys like Sandi, Higgins, Clarke, HMac, Bock and co irrelevant or are you still considering them?

Yes I will consider them.

However, probably not two on the same line.

So Sandi + someone reliable like Minson/Goldy but not Sandi and Hmac.

Of course they're worth the risk. Would rather them over a player who had queries over their scoring ability.

Hahah cheers mate! I've always believed in it, so why not post it!

I think its more a question of whether you take the punt on injury prone players or go the traditional Guns n Rooks strategy. Especially now with limited trades

The flaw in the whole strategy is that it is very hard to believe or trust what clubs / coaches say about their players. In / out, back next week, short term / long term, monitoring, good progress, playing forward / back......I will stop ranting now.. sound way too  jaded already and the pre season hasn't even started... ::)

Hahahha, but you're exactly right mate. A lot of stuff is thrown around preseason, but if it actually happens is another question.
And Rico, I'd take the punt on injury prone players anyday over the guns and rookies strategy if it meant my team made more points but at the expense he may get inured.

No good if you run out of trades by round 15 though :P
