I don't quite understand why everyone is so against Higgins.

He's actually only had 1 year in which he's missed more than 5 games.

If he can play 10 and be traded during the byes, that's all we need.

And he's averaged at least 75 in all those years as well which makes him a bargain at 250k.

Actually I think he's had like 4 years were he's missed more than 5 games. I am still considering him though.

He's missed 5, 6, 4 and 3, then 19 last year. So not too bad.

I think you're only talking the last 5 years then? He played 4 games in 2008, and 5 games in 2006, due to injury. I know that's a while ago, but his body hasn't exactly become stronger.

Yep i was talking about the last 5 years. I think before that is too long ago.

If he plays 15 games, happy days! Question is when he plays them, and if hes playing round 1!

I read somewhere that between 09-12, he played 1 less game than Buddy. Yet we don't have Buddy on never again lists.

Higgins has been locked into my team since I heard he was fit and firing.

70 odd SC points in 53% game time in nab 2, and now 33 disposals in what is essentially a home and away game for no points, with the best 22 available playing in nearly every game- LOCK!!!!!

If people don't select him, lucky for those of us who do, cos we'll be the ones getting 75-85 for a player priced at half that and make $150k+

 :)
On today's effort I've put him in for the first time since prices came out, and he's staying. Todays games have brought on a few changes and clarified the ruck situation a little as well. Team finished pending selections. Cheers all and just 1 off the ton Shorty.    ;D

2008 - 2013

Missy 77 games - 13 per year
Buddy 114 games - 19 per year

2009 - 2012

Missy 70
Buddy 73

2014

Anyone's guess.

As for the never again thing with Buddy -

2008 - 2013 average for Buddy 107 / 88 / 107 / 111 / 116 / 90  -  not many forwards match that
2008 - 2013 average for Missy 42 / 89 / 78 / 83 / 79/ 59 - not that good really

so you would have to be pretty stubborn, arrogant, belligerent, pigheaded, stubborn and stupid to put Buddy on your never again list, whereas Missy is - well - pretty average so you're not going to hurt yourself too much by ignoring him.

A rival team with Missy won't worry you too much as opposed to a team with Buddy who will hurt you more often.

They will both be popular.
