Didn't see a best 22 thread yet for Adelaide, so thought I would make one. Herald Sun has recently been predicting the best 22 for each club and this is what they have come up with for the Crows...

B: Luke Brown, Ben Rutten, Rory Laid
HB: Brodie Smith, Daniel Talia, Brent Reilly
C: David Mackay, Patrick Dangerfield, Brad Crouch
HF: Richard Douglas, Taylor Walker, Tom Lynch
F: Eddie Betts, James Podsiadly, Matthew Wright
Foll: Sam Jacobs, Scott Thompson, Rory Sloane

Int: Nathan van Berlo, Josh Jenkins, Jason Porplyzia, Mitch Grigg

Ready to Fly: Brad Crouch

What do you all think of that? Personally don't think Porplyzia is in their best 22 anymore, but apart from that looks pretty accurate in my mind...

Henderson and Otten are both definitely in the best 22. I would personally take out Porplyzia and Mackay, put Smith on the wing and put Henderson on HB and Otten on the bench.

Have to say I disagree a little bit here, not bad though

But, how could you leave out Hendo and Otten? Also Crouch on the wing is a bit silly, Douglas forward also as great a move as it would be, he's midfield now taking over from Thommo ;)

Won't add my best 22 yet, be up soon :)

Crouch on the wing and ready to fly? ;)

Good to see Mitch Grigg, definite best 22. Hendo and Otten must be in, both had great years :D

Adelaide's Best 22 for 2014:

FB: R. Laird, B. Rutten, S. Shaw
HB: L. Brown, D. Talia, B. Reilly
C: R. Sloane (VC), M. Grigg, B. Smith
HF: T. Lynch, T. Walker, R. Douglas
FF: E. Betts, J. Jenkins, S. Thompson
Fol: S. Jacobs, P. Dangerfield (C), B. Crouch
I/C: R. Henderson, A. Ottens, L. Johnston
Sub: M. Wright

Unlucky: Pods, Mackay, Lyons, Petrenko, Kerridge, Porps, Hartigan

I think that for round 1, pods replaces walker. The team excludes van berlo because i believe he is likely out for the season. Due to that I think its time that there is a change in captaincy and unlucky for Sloane I think it goes to Dangerfield. It's important that the kids continue to play so the team continues to gel together, but for now this looks like a blue print for a premiership in the not to distant future!

Guys, what's the chance of Matthew Jaensch playing?

He has had two very solid NAB cup games.

With the two, VB and Hendo out he becomes a chance, his best option is on the wing imo, still don't expect the poor Hahndorf boy to make the side :(  doesn't have the defence required and Smith, Reilly, Laird, Brown, Mackay just look more polished at the level,

Even if young Matty is a ripper kick, needs to beat the Laird/Reilly type defensively to be a chance

T-bags, I'm going to a wedding at Hahndorf this Saturday, give me his number, so he can show the missus and me the sights. No 3somes tell him  :P
