Honey Badger's Summary
There were some big positives, but unfortunately also some big negatives from Hartlett in 2013. So let's start with the positives first... Hammer finally managed to get through a full season without picking up an injury, only missing the last 2 games due to suspension. He also managed to average in the low 90's for the third season in a row, which was very handy for a player who could be selected as a defender last year. He started off the season brilliantly averaging 112 after the first 5 rounds so many people jumped on before he went too high in price.
Sadly they got burnt badly as after his great start he copped the attention of opposition taggers and didn't ton up for the next 11 matches, averaging just 77 during that period. He looked to have turned the corner averaging 101 from his last 4 games, but then got suspended for the final 2 matches. Because of this he would be on most peoples never again lists. So here is where I try and convince you why he is a valid option...
Although being wildly inconsistent at times (11 scores 90+/6 scores under 80) he is still a very handy scorer when on his game, as evidenced by the fact that when he scored centuries they were generally very big (5 of his 6 were 118+). As mentioned he has averaged in the 90's the last 3 years, and I think next year will be his year to break out and announce himself as an elite midfielder in the competition, he just needs to learn how to break the tag more regularly. I think with improvement from Port and players like Wingard he will start to do that as less attention may go to him. See him average over 100 in 2014!

Predicted Avg: 103

The fact that he is mid only next year says that it is a big no for Hamish for me good player but think I would rather go with Beams or Murphy for a little more .

Yeah there is no way you'd choose him. Maybe if he was a defender only but not as a mid.

I really really like this guy but nah not this year but probably in the future. :)

This guy is a gun unless someone actually plays on him then becomes incapable of getting anywhere near the ball. Not for me
