Good game Cookie, series tied 1-1 now although I'm still.. A little behind in the overall record. :P

The game tomorrow will be interesting, overcast/green and with cookie being forced to play 3 seamers (I believe?) I will hope to take a series lead.

I will be playing the 3 seamers. I am a couple of seasons away from having more options. Waiting for my youths to grow and come through the ranks
I'm in a similar position with my spinners, I've invested a lot of money in them and they'll be high quality players, but they're really too young to have a major impact yet. Frustrating.
Was surprised to come away with the win on the dry actually I was expecting you to win on the spinning pitches and then try to pull you back in on the seaming ones, hopefully Weidman doesn't do too much damage tomorrow.
I was real sure about the dry pitch. I backed myself beforehand on the crumbling, slow and uneven pitches. I have no clue why but I have been doing well on slows recently.

Uneven, because of Weidman as you mention.

Weidman has a good record against you. My bowling attack is rather young. I need to tinker with my orders a little to make Pettis more effective.

Yeah Weidman has taken apart my top order a few times, I think the uneven will be interesting I'll have the extra seamer but the lack of specialist seam bowlers and Weidman will give you the edge there I think.
Pettis has struggled in the series so far but hasn't really had conditions that would allow him to be damaging, having Jagwar Ma over him I think and the extra seamer should help a lot tomorrow.

Very important game tomorrow I think, definitely a game I need to win.

Green was once my strength pitch, but I haven't played on it for awhile. Weidman isn't even my best bowler though. Walsh is my go to bowler. My the uneven pitch he should have acc power.

I will have to fiddle with my orders, so hopefully he keeps it tight so Weidman and Walsh can destroy you

A. Pettis 5-0-15-1, M. Thorp 17 (34b), S. Verrier 3 (4b)
End of over 10 (6 runs) - No Capes(28-3) RR 2.80

A good start for me after the first 10. Weidman with 2 wickets

A quiet 10 overs there. No wickets but hardly any runs

A. Pettis 10-0-28-2, B. Gent 15 (27b), M. Pyke 0 (3b)
End of over 30 (2 runs) - No Capes(97-5) RR 3.23

Dominant display from cookie so far. The isue being his spinners have both been economical and the RR pressure has meant constant wickets. Anything under 180 will be a massive struggle to defend, there are still 10 overs of spin left so we need to bat out the overs.

Gent gone, so is any hope of a defendable total.  :-[

They are both on defensive tactics to keep it tight and allow for wickets to fall from the other end.

C. Walsh 9.3-0-28-3, M. Atk 34 (39b)
End of over 50 (1 run) - No Capes(178-10) RR 3.56

Don't think I'll defend this. Important runs from the lower order makes it somewhat interesting, but really needed to get more out of the top 4 for this to be a game.

A few partnerships near the end helped you get a decent total

Everyone has different standards don't they? :P If I was given 180 on those conditions I'd take it hands down. :P

It'll be a closer chase than you think, especially with early wickets.

That total is with 2 spinners. I reckon it will be close

You would be playing 5 seamers. :P

Pyke and Verrier having spent so much time at the crease could hurt as well, we'll see.

Z. Dawson 6-1-17-2, G. St-Pierre 0 (4b), G. Quagmire 12 (16b)
End of over 30 (1 run) - bundy bashers(119-5). 60 runs required from 20 overs. RR 3.97 RRR 3.00

Cookie is on top, but I'm into his bowlers. If I can get Quagmire soon things will get interesting.

Quagmire is the big wicket you need, but St-Pierre can bat as well. I was hoping hiding Quagmire down the order would help me if I suffered a collapse

EDIT: just as I post, St-Pierre gets out :/

AFEV

I need to get Quagmire soon or your tail will just make the runs anyway..
