Warner
Rogers (why would you drop him? whyyyyyyyyyyyy)
Hughes
Clarke
Watson
Smith
Haddin
Johnson
Harris
Siddle
Lyon

The team's pretty self-explanatory to me. Watson would be better off not playing at #3 IMO. Although he could easily be dropped altogether.

Nails

Smith should bat above Haddin

Smith can actually convert his 50s at a decent rate.

That would be my team as well, for now. But Watson won't be going anywhere (the only way he'll miss games is through injuries, he won't be dropped). I'd like to see Khawaja, Patto, Starc, Faulkner, Cummins, Cutting make the side soon though, but not sure who comes out, Lyon's spot is kind of locked in, as apart from O'Keffe there isn't many other good spinners around that could replace him.

Nige

Khawaja's been set back by the hamstring strain he picked up in the Big Bash.

Hopefully he can get back into some good form and then into the XI.

It's not too late for Hodgey! #wouldofbeenbetterthanclarke  ;)

Mailman the 2nd

Hodge has gained a bit of weight nowadays looking at him in the BBL.

Bit past him :P

Rogers is a gun, in the form of his life. Is the highest run scorer across both ashes series. I would have the team as

Rogers
Warner
Hughes
Clarke
Smith
Watson
Haddin
Johnson
Harris
Siddle
Lyon

Faulkner, Pattinson, Bailey next in line. I don't think watto is good enough to bat 3, I'd have him in the more traditional alrounder position at 6

Exactly. I can't believe so many people have suggested dropping him.

Ringo

Just remember that when Watson batted lower in the order he did not score a lot of runs.  I do not mind him at three if he maintains Boofs attack policy.  Will see how this p[olicy goes against SA though as it would be the real test.

The only change to the 12 I would make is dropping Bailey but for who is the question another batsmen allowing Watto to drop down or strengthen the bowling by adding another quick or all rounder such as Cutting.

BB67th

Why do people think we need to strengthen the bowling any further? We are having no trouble taking 20 wickets a game right now.

The batting is where we are still having trouble, so another batsman should replace Bailey.
