Backs: very strong
Mids:  another premium needed. Downgrade claye beams to a cheap rookie then upgrade another.. Not sure about fyfe, he can be very disappointing
Rucks: good
Forwards: I think grey needs to be upgraded..
Very good team 7.5/10

Backs Fairly Strong hopefully Fuller is in the starting Line up. for the Bulldogs
Mids: Bastinac is a unique pick but i would upgrade either him or Fyfe to Selwood
Rucks: Kreuzer could be a good pick this year
Fwds: Don't think Honeychurch will Start in Round 1 so put Garlett on the field. Wouldn't have both  Grey & Wingard probably upgrade Gray

Team is  shaping up well if you like the set up you have keep it as is. 7.5/10

Baggers2012

Updated team - love some thoughts, cheers!

Def: McVeigh, Mitchell, Hurn, Swallow, Suckling, McDonald (Fuller, Langdon)

Mids: Watson, Cotchin, Murphy, D.Beams, Tyson, C.Beams, Michie, Ellis (Crouch, Dunstan)

Rucks: Minson, Mumford (Currie, Naismith)

Fwds: Dangerfield, Martin, Franklin, Gray, Fasolo, Rohan (Garlett, Kersten)

I want to take a big risk this year, don't want the same team as everyone! therefore, quite a few POD's (Swallow, Mumford, Gray)...and no Pendles or Gablett!  :o

love ya def

mids are weak

rucks are ok but if u wanna have weak mids then surely u have to pick minson and goldy

fasolo and rohan are both hacks and are not good enough options

Baggers2012

Just another try, would love some thoughts

Def: McVeigh, Mitchell, Hurn, Swallow, Suckling, McDonald (Fuller, Langdon)

Mids: Watson, Cotchin, Murphy, Beams, Thomas, Tyson, Beams, Michie (Crouch, Dunstan)

Rucks: Lobbe, Longer (Currie, Naismith)

Fwds: Dangerfield, Roughead, Franklin, Gunstan, Caddy, Clark (Garlett, Kersten)

19,000 in the bank, 10/10/10 bye structure. highlighted are those that I am unsure of.
F2 I think will come down to Martin v Roughy, still unsure
F4 & F5, considering Motlop, Robbie Gray, Luke Parker
F6, do I go for the injury prone clark? Fasolo and Rohan might be viable cheaper options. Maybe Higgins??
R1 & R2 - do I want to go set and forget in the rucks? or risk it with players like Lobbe and Longer
D3, Hurn is underpriced but struggles with a tag, would love to get the coin for Mr consistant Hibberd.

Would like to see Pendles or Gaz in the mids , don't think there is problem with Lobbe but not to sure on Longer , think Martin can step it up a bit more this year , you may be able to down grade Gunstan to a cheapie when rookies become clearer and spend it elsewhere same in the backs with Hurn think any more than 4 good to mid priced players back or forward will weaken teams to much in mids and rucks . Good luck

Ringo

I would look at these options

Downgrading Caddy to Lennon and Upgrade Longer to Sandilands. and Hurn to Hibberd,

If you downgrade Gunston to Lennon you also have enough to go Cotchin to Pendles or Ablett as well as selecting martin over Roughhead which I think is necessary this year. Will also give you around $100k to play with to strengthen other lines.
Down grading to Hogan rather than Lennon if you do not like Lennon will give similar results but in 2nd alternative only around $50k to play with.

Def: You have good depth here with only 1 rookie on the field so you have spent quit a bit here
Mids: Would look at getting Pendlebury in in the expense of either Cotchin or Murphy
Rucks:Longer is unproven too much of a Risk probably should have left Mumford in although Grundy is a good alternative
Fwds: I would downgrade either Roughead or Gunston to a Rookie e.g Lennon to allow you to make the necessary upgrades

Team is not too bad with the odd unique pick. Ringo has also mentioned about downgrading gunston to Lennon.  7.5/10

Baggers2012

Latest attempt. Still wanting to go without Pendles and Gaz, hopefully give myself an edge if they struggle early on. Collingwood with a tough early draw + Crowley tag round 1, Gaz with the Crowley tag round 2. I will look at bringing pendles and Gaz after there byes

Def: McVeigh, S.Thompson, Hibberd, Hurn, Suckling, McDonald (Langdon, Fuller)

Mids: Watson, Sloane, Murphy, D.Beams, Thomas, C.Beams, Michie, Ellis (Crouch, Dunstan)

Rucks: Naitanui, Lobbe (Currie, Naismith)

Fwds: Dangerfield, Martin, Franklin, Higgins, Clark, Rohan (Garlett, Kersten)

Bye 10/10/10
Bank: 101k

100k in the bank, Thoughts on where to spend it? I want to get a little bit of extra cash to go Higgins to a gunstan/motlop/parker/pavlich type.

I think you need both Ablett and pendlebury! Well at least one!
Backs: looks good.. Haven't seen many teams with hibberd or hurn in it, so good PODS
Mids: like I said above, need one of them!! Like the pick of sloane, not many people will have him and he is set for a big year. Not sold on Murphy, I know he struggled with injury last year, but he can't seem to shake a tag.. Also I would downgrade either michie, Ellis or C. Beams to free up some cash.
Rucks: just watch Nic Nat, he might not be 100%. Lobbe seems to be a very popular pick this year.
Forwards: I would downgrade 2 of Higgins, Clarke and Rohan.. Free up some cash, to upgrade to a more reliable scorer. Those 3 are not likely to score hight and can be very injury prone.
Overall a pretty good team, 7/10..

Thanks for the feedback. I know everyone will tell me i need Pendles and/or Gaz, im just going with a different strategy in regards to super premo's. I dont think i can possibly afford to downgrade 2 of Higgins, Clark & Rohan, there is a distinct lack of obvious foward, ruck, and defender rookies...at this stage anyway, besides the players you mentioned are all similar price range to the top end rookies. I understand your point, but im using those three players all as cash cows, none of them will be keepers, if i downgrade two and get an extra 120k i wouldn't be able to afford a premium anyway. i do want a stronger F4 however.

Yeah true, I like your team.. I just don't have the guts to do that!! Lol.. Hope it pays off for u. Your right about pendles and Ablett having a tough first few rounds.. It's making me re-think having both!! I could save some cash! If you get a chance have a look at mine.. Cheers..

Yeh I'll have a look mate, thanks for the feedback again, I've always gone ablett and Pendles, just wanted something unique to hopefully give myself the edge. The tough early draw for both helped haha.

Def: Like Your DEfence particular the Picks of Hurn & Hibberd both use the Ball well.
Mids: Good unique pick in Rory Sloane should continue to score well. But i think you should have Pendles in that team.
Rucks: Nic Nat is a Risky pick  i doubt whether he will play a full season.I would have a DPP on the Bench
Fwds:May want to get Dixon into the forward line unless Nicnat is only out for a short time. Higgins is a risk but could pay off if he can get through unscathed till the bulldogs bye week.Downgrade Clarke and Rohan to Rookies.

Overall That Midfield  may cost you as most will have one of Pendles or Gazza or Both the other lines seem to be good.I give it a 7/10
