Jared Polec - Port Adelaide Power

Requested by Samsturmfels

Name: Jared Polec
Age: 21 years, 2 months
Team: Port Adelaide
Position: Midfield
Bye: Round 9

2013 Low: 32
2013 High: 32
2013 Average: 32
2013 Pre-Bye Average: 32
2013 Post-Bye Average: N/A

Fanplanner Price: $172,600

Predicted average: 60-70ppg

Verdict: New team, fresh start, After a slow start finishing in the middle of the pack in the 3km time trial Polec has lifted his intensity. I think it will more than likely be a wait and see if he's named round 1, should see some games at port this year at some stage so I wouldn't be surprised if he's in my team at some stage.

Yeah, defientelty considering him. He's cheaper than most rookies, so I reckon I'll pick him.

A big watch for preseason form, not in my team right now, behind beams, tyson etc but all depends on whos named rnd 1, meant to have a talent this kid but never seen much of him.

That's a horrendous pic of the bloke haha looks like someone more suited to World of Warcraft tournaments rather than an AFL footballer.
Like him though and certainly considering

For those who want to know, he averaged 87 in the NEAFL.

That did include a game where he only had 2 touches because he got injured very early on in the first quarter. If you ignore that game then he averaged 24.6 touches a game, which is still counting a game when he only had 12 touches since it was his first game in over 2 months. Apart from that game his lowest disposal count was 21.

Also fairly sure that average is his DT average.

Yeah it is DT, was meant to put that up the top :( CF speaks the truth though.

Going much better after his rude awakening during the first time trial, according to this article...
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/port-adelaides-jared-polec-transforming-himself-under-ken-hinkleys-guidance/story-fni5f9de-1226789044070

"Jared's been really good as far as embracing Port Adelaide and the way that we train and the way that we work," said Hinkley, who told Polec in no uncertain terms that he wasn't happy with his first-up session last month.

"I'm sure he'd be the first to admit he got a little bit of a shock when he first turned up and that's not because he left a club that wasn't training hard, he just didn't have the conditioning in his body.

"He himself admits about 40 per cent of pre-season is all he's been able to do.

"He's had a month with us and you can just see the change in his body, but also the intensity in his body - that's the thing I've noticed the most."

seen an article port adelaide posted on their facebook with what would be their starting 22 for round 1 if everything stays the same and polec was on the field.

Got a link to the article? Just had a quick look on their page and couldn't find anything

Bones Bombers

Clearly not stated by Port Adelaide. Side is as picked by the Sunday Mail and Polec is on the interchange bench.
Will still be interesting to see whether he fits in.
