Like the team Ben Only change I would look at as Roughie and Gunston may take points off each other is perhaps look at Bellchambers or Dixon as alternate and giving you Ruck Break up as well.

Obviously Rookies will change based on Round 1.

Yeah having that RUC/FWD link would be good.

How does this sound?

IN: Buddy and Dixon
OUT: Roughy and Gunston

i like these changes

halfway through last year i declared I would be picking Dixon in 2014 ... but at the moment just cannot fit him in even though he keeps tempting me

DC13

cheers for rating my team ben!

DEF: Solid mate, has good depth with suckling at m5 but bit risky without McVeigh or Mitchell in my opinion. Good POD in grimes and good rookies, could even downgrade McDonald to get some cash as its a lot sitting on the bench.

MID: Good to see both Ablett and Pendles, bit risky with murphy, beams and Thomas but could pay off. Good rookie choices and DPP links.

RUC: Identical to mine apart from Brown so id have to say its good, Lobbe will improve heaps and sandi is too cheap to pass.

FWD: Solid mate, however I would only take 1 of roughy or gunston, too risky with both, good depth with clark in there.

Overall its a good team mate, a few risks but risks that could easily pay off for you, well done ben. 8.5/10

Hippo

yeah not bad Ben!!

i think everyone needs to have Mitchell in the back line, he is a gift this yr! and with Suckling back and Shoemaker i think Mitch will get his mid role back as i believe he only played back out of necessity.

i have a feeling you will need to find extra cash to fit in one of the new Demons mids (Tyson/Michie)... both of these could score more than Matt Jones last yr.

I would have Pav over Gunston everyday of the week, he's slimmed down and is training fantastically by all reports.

other than that nice job

DEF - love D1-3, i think they will avg around the same, Grimes... not sold on yet.
MID - GAJ/Pendles. NICE. Murphy will get back to 110.
Ruc - Lobbe is a great pick, could be the new minnow. Sandi is a bargain.
FWD - love the gunston pick, and Roughie is Hawks #1

overall i like the setup, nice team.

Updated team:

DEF: S Thompson, Hibberd, Hanley (MID), K Simpson, Suckling, K Kolodjashnij (Cutler, Fuller)

MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, D Beams, D Thomas, J Martin, Dunstan, O'Rourke (Taylor (MID), Hunt (DEF))

RUC: Lobbe, Sandilands (Nankervis, Brown (FWD))

FWD: Dangerfield (MID), Martin (MID), Dixon (RUC), Franklin, M Clark, D Garlett (MID) (Honeychurch (MID), Kennedy-Harris)

$6,700 left.

Byes: 10/9/11

Changes since last side:

OUT:
Grimes
Roughead
Gunston

IN:
Hibberd
Dixon
Franklin

Hibberd is ultra consistent and should be able to push a 100 average this year. A much less riskier pick than Grimes.

Dixon showed in the early rounds last year that he is an SC machine and he provides that all important RUC/FWD link. Hopefully injuries won't get the better of him this year. I like Gunston too but the RUC/FWD link is the selling point for Dixon.

I have very much warmed to the idea of Buddy in my side. Surely he can get back to averaging 100 + as a Swan with no contract distractions and the best midfield in the comp delivering him the ball. Should average more than his old partner in crime, Roughead.

Teams looking very good mate.

I like your changes you've made except the Dixon pick, I don't think he'll end up as a top 6 forward or top 2 ruckman, which means he's a little bit of a waste pick in my opinion. I, not sure on his scoring output now that Zac Smith will be back in the team also.

Anyway, defence looks solid, really good choice of premiums - Love Thompson, and your other picks are really strong as I said. You should find great consistency in all 5 of em and KK is a good rookie choice. Only one rookie playing also is a good choice.

Mids look strong with both Ablett and Pendlebury, really good value picks in Beams Murohy and Thomas, and good choices of rookies. Only criticism is that you're very light on for Round 10 premiums. If you could, try and find a way to bring in one of Rockliff/Watson/Fyfe but that's totally your own choice.

Rucks look standard,Lobbe is a good unique, hopefully he can keep up his second half average from last year, otherwise he isn't a good choice - You really have to have faith in him from the start, and hope he can score well as a lone ruck once again and against better opposition - SC finals scores were against Blicavs, Grundy etc

Forwards are strong, very strong. Don't like the Dixon pick, would much rather Pavlich or Gunston, but that's totally upto you. Clark is a great pick as you said earlier.

Looking good mate, no real hostile changes need to be made, well done :)

Anthonyyyy

Teams looking very strong mate.

I like your ins and outs they are all looking like upgrades to me.

Anyway, defence looks solid, really like the four premos in the defence. Suckling is great value and should be in everyones team. And it is between KK and McDonald on who gets the last spot in your back line but it is really up too you.

Midfield looks very strong but it is becoming the standard midfield but I think as wato said it is proabably worth downgrading or upgrading someone to Rockliff or Watson as they have a round 10 bye each and will make your team just that little bit stronger other than that it is looking good.

Rucks look reasonably standard again with Lobbe becoming a commen pick and not really being someone that is a unique for your team but Sandi is a really good risk as he can score 100+ and is only 300k

Forwards are strong, very strong. I like your top 4 forwards as they can all score 100+ and even though Dixon isn't as strong he has that dpp so he may be worth the money. I like your weaker picks to and I cant really fault your forward line at all.

After seeing the strength of some teams that don't have both Ablett and Pendles, I have decided to do the same which I think has resulted in a much stronger team.

Here it is:

DEF: McVeigh (MID), Mitchell (MID), S Thompson, Hanley (MID), Suckling, McDonald (Cutler, Fuller)

MID: Ablett, Barlow, Murphy, D Beams, D Thomas, C Beams, Dunstan, O'Rourke (Taylor (MID), Hunt (DEF))

RUC: Naitanui, Sandilands (Nankervis, Brown (FWD))

FWD: Dangerfield (MID), Martin (MID), Franklin, Gunston, Clark, D Garlett (MID) (Honeychurch (MID), Kennedy-Harris)

$31,100 left.

I have chosen to go without Pendles because the Pies have a very tough early season draw and before the byes he comes up against both Fremantle and Carlton which are the 2 most effective tagging teams in the comp. I can see Barlow averaging similar to that of Pendles up to the byes so I'm saving 90k there which can improve other areas of my team. Pendles will come into my side round 9.

Changes since last side:

Hibberd --> McVeigh
K Simpson --> Mitchell
Pendlebury --> Barlow
Lobbe --> Naitanui
Dixon --> Gunston

Thoughts on this latest side?

DEF strong, not a fan of thommo but thats a personal choice. (imo you can get similar output for cheaper and more consistency)
MID GAJ, freak. Barlow pick is great, will impove and super consistent.
RUC standard, solid
FWD strong fwd line, franklin to improve. gunston to improve. dusty to move to DEF

I think you have a strong side accross all lines even though you don't have Pendles that is probably the only move i would not have made
Def: If you wanted to downgrade anyone here it would Thompson but i think you should stick with this defence.
Mids: Good unique pick here with Barlow you may lose 30 pts a game though by leaving Pendles out.
Rucks: I would upgrade Nic Nat to Leuey.
Fwds: Look strong Gunston will have another top year as he is Hawthorns No.2 Forward now.Garlett should get earlty games

I think you have done well with this team it could even be improved more with the right changes i find about 12 premiums in that team give it an 8.5/10
