Collingwood don't have space to upgrade any rookies. Oxley and Dwyer were upgraded recently and our primary list is capped at 39 as we have 6 category A and 2 category B rookies. I hate that KMart is just sitting on our rookie list. I'd actually prefer to have him on the senior list rather than Dwyer but Dwyer had to be upgraded based on his performances in 2013. Anyway, if a tall goes down then Frost or Hudson will be upgraded but if a Mid goes down (touch wood) then hello KMart.
Doesn't really show they expect much from him when they promoted Oxley over him...

Two years ago I had my money on Griffen to break out.  Picked it a season too early.

So this year I will pick my breakout candidate from last year:

Luke Shuey

Dayze

Harley bennell. Injury free should explode

At a guess, the Pies midfield is already packed, and with the exit of Thomas, Shaw, Russell, and Paine I think Oxley's 191cm in the backline is more in need than Martin's 182.

Yeah, I was surprised by this, I thought KMart would get elevated ahead of him.

How far can he explode?  He's already on 96 and has Ablett 127, Omera 90 and Prestia 97 to contend with.

Are you calling 110+?

105 for mine.

Tag worries might continue to curb his ave (slight increase of tag with Kerr gone), but Hurn and Gaff might still cop it before him.

Why did he slide to 90 this year?  Just injuries?  Or something else?

Dayze

The kid could b anything.
How many 2nd year players have ever scored a 190?
110 is possible

As an eagles supporter shuey will improve but will still suffer the tag.
Just not enough A grade line breaking midfielders too attract the attention.
Is the eagles best and most damaging midfielder and will hover around the 100-105 mark as he did in 2012.
Doesn't possess the equipment to break the tag and I would not really consider him.
If pendles played for the eagles shuey would probably average 115

Pretty sure Oxley spent the year playing in the midfield in the VFL, he was averaging 21 touches a game.

Yes he did.  I was referring to what the pies are likely to use him for now given all the height they have lost, as I dont see a lot of space for him/anyone in the midfield.

KMart will suffer from second season syndrome.

My breakout for the year is david swallow- 4th year and number 1 draft pick.

Shuey
Duncan
Zeibell
Bastinac

Daniel Rich will push towards 95-100 mark.

GHS will enter the world of premiums next season

Matt Shaw and Jaspar Pittard will both breakout as well.

tbagrocks

I'm calling a guy that has a heap more help this year in the midfield with a top Coach, full pre-season and the dropping of the Captaincy at this point of his career and he's only 22, the age many top midfielders breakout

Jack Trengove!!  :o
