I'm starting with both as I think they can both push for top 8 mids easily and are underpriced for what they can achieve. If I had to pick one though, would probably choose Rocky. If he plays in the mids full time, which he should, he averages over 120, and only Swan and Ablett average more disposals than him when in the midfield. Absolute machine.

Im not a big fan of either.

But i just dont think watson can cope with all the pressure.

Surely its gonna catch up with him.

So ill go with rocky.
Yep, this.

Not a huge fan of either and probably won't start with either as well.

But yeah, would go Rocky over Jobe.

Watson averaged 115 if you take out his injury, the pressure wont be as intense as last year. He seemed to cop fine anyway.

^ if he was gonna struggle with the pressure he'd have shown it by now IMO

Biased opinion but I will go Rocky. Will be spending most of time in mids where he scored well. Showing no sign of injury which was reason given for going forwards at times.  Has has also appeared to put on a yard or two of pace plus extra upper body muscle tone.

Did you not watch the West Coast game? if you don't call that pressure i don't know what is and it only seem to motivate him more

Running with Watson myself, mostly just based on my gut. Think he underperformed due to injury and distractions. Rockliff will get better two, but will now always cop the number 1 tag too, tjink he will handle it ok, but its not something he has had to deal with constantly before.

Rockliff won't be first tagged, because he is basically one of those players not worth tagging because of his teammates. Rich and Hanley will be first tagged, just like Heppell and Stanton etc at Essendon.

No chance that any team will leave rich alone.

Agreed. Rocky is a gun but he isn't devestating like Rich and Hanley can be if left untagged. Rocky is an accumulator but not as damaging so far more likely to be left untagged. Will still cop a tag on occasion though so will be interesting to see how he copes

He'll cope as easy as you like, shouldn't be a problem for Rocky. Love how he's starting to get noticed now even if it comes at an effect to his scores, has been a jet for awhile now

Literally was going to start this thread, I think most will have to make this choice taking byes into consideration, really really on the fence at the minute, think watson should be good for 105-120, but rocky could be anywhere from 100-125, risk versus reward i guess

shorty3264

I think Watson is the choice surely. Rockliff is a great accumulator, but their is far more risk with him. New coach, much poorer side, whereas Watson is a proven jet and a long time star of the AFL and fantasy lands. As mentioned above risk vs reward. Undoubtedly Watson is the safest of safe bets for 110+
