ROSYS BEER NUTS

ROSYS BEER NUTS

DEF: S Thompson, M Hibberd, K Simpson, M Suckling, K Kolodjashnij, L McDonald (D Gardiner, J Battersby)

MID: G Ablett, S Pendlebury, L Montagna, J Watson, D Beams, D Tyson, C Beams, A Moribito, (J O'Rourke, M Crouch)

RUCK: H McIntosh, A Sandilands (R Lobb, T Nankervis)

FWD: P Dangerfield, D Martin, T Cloke, L Franklin, M Clarke, S Kerstan, (T Walsh, S Lloyd)

CASH LEFT: $15,900

Def - Would love Bartell, McVeigh, Mitchell, Hodge etc, but upgrade targets for sure.. Will try and squeeze in D Swallaw if possible at D4. Not touching Shaw...
Mid - Had to start with Ablett and include Beams. Am chasing good draw for Montagna.. Rooks TBD
Ruck - Weak & Risky.. But will be my first target to upgrade depending on form and ruckman health.. Few weeks into season will allow for a wiser decision..? Thoughts?
Fwd - Strong?  Possbly looking at Craig Bird for some good early scores as a POD? Question : Will Buddy suffer from lack of space at Sydney and find the ball less..? Im a Hawk fan and believe space is his biggest asset so questioning starting him until seeing his positioning etc..?

Comments will be very handy. Have only ever browsed this site and lived on the live fasntasy scores, so would love to contribute to others in the future.
Cheers & Beers

it's not to bad mate i like the defense and mids

but i reckon HMAC and Sandi is way to risky for my taste and i think Nic Nat is a steal at 520k i think you should go Nic Nat and one of HMAC/Sandi/Grundy

forward line is ok but i'd go Pavlich over Cloke and would not go near Clark hurt his ankle again the other day to injury prone

GoLions

Like the backline, no complaints there
Think Montags is out round 1? Can't remember 100% though. Rest looks good
Like KB said, rucks are too risky. You can start 1, but not both IMO. Bring in one of Goldy, Minson, NicNat if you can
Don't really like Cloke as a fantasy player (or as an AFL player for that matter :P ), think you could downgrade him to a cheaper rookie or other cheap player and use the cash to upgrade your rucks

Yeah just fix up the rucks and you should be fine

specky92

DEF: I'd probably go Simpson to one of your more reliable defenders like Mitchell or McVeigh

MID: Montagna is out round 1 so I'd look at Rockliff who has the same bye as him

RUC: As the other guys have said, probably needs a solid premium

FWD: I think the forward line can be the weakest line this year with a lot of underpriced players so I'd look at Pavlich

As for the rookies, can't see Tommy Walsh getting many games to be relevant and I think Morabito will be managed so he could be very slow to make you cash and will be vested a lot IMO

ROSYS BEER NUTS

Cheers heaps for the feedback guys.. Awesome thoughts..     V1.2

DEF: J Bartell, S Thompson, M Hibberd, M Suckling, K Kolodjashnij, L McDonald (D Gardiner, J Battersby)

MID: S Pendlebury, J Watson, T Libratore, B Deledio, D Beams, D Tyson, C Beams, L Dunstan (J O'Rourke, M Crouch)

RUCK: N Naitanui, A Sandilands (D Currie, T Nankervis)

FWD: P Dangerfield, D Martin, T Cloke, M Pavlich, J Hogan, S Kerstan, (D Markworth, S Lloyd)

CASH LEFT: $16,800

Quick fix up from V1. Dropped Ablett (again) to free up $$ which i'm sure he will be in and out all pre-season due to the crap rnd 2 & 3 draws.. Obiviously will be an ASAP trade in once BE suits.

Sticking with Cloke for now.. looks in good shape..

Bought in Nic Nat, Pav, Jimmy & Lids basically at the expense of the little master, Buddy and Montagna..
Cant wait till pre season cup to see the lively rooks..

Any further thoughts on starting 2 cheaper (lower risk) rucks to make a smarter decision on premo's say rnds 4-6 and hopefully score the years keepers early..? I never get lucky with my premo rucks and can waste trades and $...??

kilbluff1985

i think Grundy is a solid option there #1 ruck now and not injury prone

ROSYS BEER NUTS

Yes good call.. I loved his workrate last year when he played.. Specially scrapping for the ball on the ground, good to see from a young ruck..

johnnytheboy1

I rate your updated team as Follows
Def: maybe get Mcveigh or Mitchell in there instead of Thompson or Hibberd up to youto decide
Mids Lids seems to have Trouble with being tagged may want to look elsewhere.
Rucks Both Injury Prone but worth the Risk.
Fwds: Cloke may be a bad pick here as his kicking is terrible but i see you want him in your team

Overall I think you have decent team there wait to see how the rookies go before making a final decision. As for the Rucks there is Mumford and Grundy who are cheap, Lobbe is another option.

ROSYS BEER NUTS

Thanks Jhonny.
I have changed to Lobbe now as I like him too.. Basically a sole ruckman in a developing side. Had a good second of half this year.
I put Mitchell into Mid last year with high hopes so nervous of him. (Hawk fan too) McVeigh looks good..

Also, could D Swallow have some value at D4 over Suckiling despite the $120K odd higher price?

nas

RBN, mate would rather Suckling personally & Lobbe good choice & as stated Mcveigh in.

Ringo

I would prefer Suckling over Swallow at this stage as well but in saying that Swallow may bite me on the backside.  He was the number 1 draft pick 5 years ago so must really show something soon. In saying that Suckling has a much bigger upside.
Great to see another Lobbe fan as well. Talking him upo so hopefully will deliver. 116 average in last 6 games last year against quality opposition.

ROSYS BEER NUTS

DEF: J McVeigh, S Mitchell, D Swallow, M Suckling, K Kolodjashnij, L McDonald (D Gardiner, J Battersby)

MID: S Pendlebury, J Selwood, J Watson, M Murphy, D Beams, C Beams, D Sheed, L Dunstan (J O'Rourke, M Crouch)

RUCK: N Naitanui, M Lobbe (D Currie, T Nankervis)

FWD: P Dangerfield, D Martin, C Sylvia, D Zorko, J Hogan, S Kerstan, (D Markworth, S Lloyd)

CASH LEFT: $5,200

I have made a few changes through the lines.
Changed Sandi to Lobbe. Cloke & Pav gone for Zorko & Sylvia.
Upgraded backline with Mitchell & Swallow.
Really trying to start with 5 keeper mids so taking a chance Murphy will perform.
Any feedback or thoughts would be great.

grimreaper

Like the picks of Swallow and Murphy - Swallow should get more Mid time and Murphy with a good pre season under his belt will go 110+ IMO. (Slight risk with high reward)

Rucks are strong and Lobbe is a nice unique (at this point)

Can see Zorko doing well this season after a 2nd year of blues and hopefully gets more mid time.

I like Sylvia but top 6 end of year?

Hope my input helped, pretty new to commenting on teams.

johnnytheboy1

Much better Team here as i see you have taken my advice by putting Mcveigh & Mitchell into your Defence
Mids: Removed Lids for Murphy may be a slight improvement but Murphy is great value at that Price.
Rucks.I think Lobbe will improve even more this year so that may be a great pick too.
Fwds: Zorko has been Recommended on Here by Ringo as he has had a good preseason and is raring to go as for Sylvia i think being at a Knew Club will see his scores Climb as he won't be tagged. At least not by the best tagger in the AFL. He could be a good unique pick.

Overall i give this team an 8.5/10 as it has improved

Ringo

Team here Much better  Like the structure as well.  Some uniques as well which I do not mind.

Just need to make sure your rookies are playing from round 1.

Just watch form in pre-season of Zorko, Sylvia. Murphy and rookies before locking team in.  Plenty of other options available if they do not come up.
