Thoughts as a POD up forward?

Terrible choice. He'll be lucky to be playing in the seniors next year.

Jroo

I'm not a big fan of him, but he scores ok. Better options out there.

J. Merrett has a heap more upside

Potentially or immediately?

If essendon reckon they can push for a premiership, they're probably going to go for immediate rather than development

(They keep their premiership points this year right? :P )

My point is that Howlett isn't a lock in the 22. He wasn't injured when he missed those 4 games, he was dropped.

With another preseason into him, Merrett could be better than Howlett immediately. The Bombers should be playing Jetta over Howlett anyway.

27 goals in a season is pretty good for a small forward. The Bombers aren't a defensive team so the more scoring options they have, the better. They need to find more goals with the departure of Crameri.

Howlett was average this year.
Had 2 great games at the start of the year, but has turned into a fringe player at best.
Maybe a good sub option.
