A simple one on one poll here, Tyson is the classy and highly touted youngster who has struggled with injury. While Beams is the workman like, tough in and under mid. Both priced very well for selection, personally I will be only selecting one for structure reasons - hence the poll. I am leaning to Tyson, given the sides and I think Tyson will really produce this year. Thoughts?

I voted for Beams cause he's 33k cheaper than Dyson, handy cash to upgrade elsewhere too.
Haven't watched Dyson play so I'm not too sure, but have heard lots of positive things about him.

Southstorm

I'm thinking Tyson, but I've got both in my side at the moment.

Holz

too hard to say till closer to the start of the season. i have both in at the moment and I would pick them over any rookie (even martin) if looking like they will get regualr unsubbed games.

Footyrulz

Beams has previously averaged 80 in a season if u take out sub games.

He is also 30k cheaper so definitely beams is a better pick.

I have both in my team atm because they are cheaper than the prems and both virtually assured of games. Beams is training well an appears over his injury and if he can regain his form of 2012 where he averaged 95 unsubbed will be a steal at that price.

Cheers guys. I understand pre season will of course be the deciding factor. But its interesting to see the thoughts at this point in time. 6 apiece on the poll tells the story.

Vinny

Yeah I have both at this stage.

Beams is a lion and a queenslander. Beams will score better.

Jroo

I'll probably have both, but if I could only pick one, I'd go with Tyson as he'll have better JS.

Ringo

Do not know about that one JR as Blacks retirement probably ensures Beams of JS - He has the added advantage that he can be used as a run with player winning his own ball so may force Raines out as well.

Fair enough Ringo, but it think Tyson pretty much walls straight into the side's best 22, while Beams will have to fight for a spot with Aish and other youngsters. I could be wrong, I wouldn't be surprised for Beams to have a massive breakout year.

Lions are midfield stacked I think. Will Beams get a run?

That's what I was thinking and why I said Tyson should have better JS.
