Virtualsports a land where no flowers are given.

Isn't it being run by someone else this year???

Another reason why SC is the premier comp ;)

Burn the witch!

I'm sure we all remember how hard it is to pick a starting team with those pesky split rounds and I guess it's meant to be a reaction to that but as seems to be the way they have gone overboard.

Money

If they went through with this idea they should just change the prices from R1 so people need to be smart about price changes and thing won't just be a no brainer

POD's who do you good and score well will be POD R1 and then 50% of coaches will own them R2

Scrads

I think a better idea if they were worried about the split round in R1 affecting starting sides would be to maybe allocate us 4 trades before round 2. This would then offer

a) Extra trades to assist with unlucky/bad team-affecting mistakes caused by the split round
b) Offer a bit of strategy to your starting side/use of your 4 trades
c) WITHOUT making it a free-for-all-pick-who-you-want with no ramifications apart from your R1 score

If this was the best thing they could come up with from the suggestions we gave them when pre-registering, then I do not have a lot of hope for the comp next year tbh :/

PK

These new rules they are bringing in are absolute rubbish! It has completely killed the game.
All the strategy of trading players and starting with certain players has been thrown out the window.
Basically everyone will have the same team and all the fun will be taken out of the game we once loved.
No research is even required anymore, it's basically DT for dummies!
I'm not even going to bother with DT this year if it's going down this path.
SC will have my business this year. At least it's more challenging and rewarding if you can win.

You guys way overreacting huge

This rule is good for us experienced coaches.

Little duds will bring in the Beau Muston, the Jordan Gysberts... the thing is they'll bring in any player who performs well. Half the players they trade in will be shower in round 2. Those coaches with experience and knowledge will benefit from this rule as all the spuds just copy each other

At the end of the day the comp will be won by who's the best trader anyway, not who trades the best for round 2.

a good idea.

Providing they limit trades back to reasonable number for the rest of the season.

Yeah but any rookie that performs and is named the next week will be in every side in the country.
People that are going to trade spuds in were never a worry anyway but this just makes any coaches team with halfway brain look identicle in the second week. Not so much for premiums but for cash cows.
DT is just a joke now. I've always preferred SC but still played DT as well. Don't think I'll even bother at all now

In reality with your cashcow thing I don't think it's really any different Quinndawg

That's what people used their 4 trades for mostly (imo) in 2013.

Ricochet

This is actually perfect for any premo's with a tough start. Say GAJ gets tagged heavily by Crowley in round 2, people may jump off.
Also does this mean we can just load up on mid pricers for the first two rounds and get as many points as possible. Then reset to premo's and rookie priced picks after that

You got it wrong Rico

It's unlimited trades up until round 2 lockout.

Therefore you don't get unlimited trades with GAJ. You only get unlimited trades AFTER round 1 but BEFORE round 2 starts.

Ricochet

OK so load up on mid pricers in the first round then fix up after round 1
