We didn't really trade many kids away for 2013

Really just dustin martin I think?

It was for this season in the trade period just gone where I got rid of Treloar/Jeremy Cameron etc.

Ziplock

ok, so ignoring R13/ N 13 who you could have gotten decent players with, and Butcher/ Pedersen which it was definitely the right call to trade out (atm anyway, although it was more border line at the time)

Myers, Jack Redden, Bennell, Dustin Martin, Hombsch, Breust, Wallis, Ryan Griffen.

You got, in return (including trading those picks)

Enright, Stevie J, Scott Thompson (adel), Hayes, Dal Santo, Nick Riewoldt, Montagna, J. Brown, S. Dempster, Mclean, Bartel, Dylan Grimes

and now you've gotten rid of Treloar, Cameron, O'Rourke, T Mcdonald this season, as well as more picks, although gaining Giansiracusa, Swan, Riewoldt, TT Lynch in the process.

I'm not saying what you did was wrong, but it's definitely not what I would have done.

That being said, I don't have a premiership either :P

Nails

To be fair I'm pretty pissed at Griffen

Was an average at best cow in 2012

then I traded him out in AXVs AND EXVs

and he decides he's the latest and greatest super premo. flowering tosser. Are you sure I traded all of them in? :o that's a lot. If you look at the players I traded in

Enright, Stevie J, Riewoldt, Montagna, Dal Santo, Bartel and Dempster on the occasional week

That's 6.5 players who were best XV for us with the loss of like 3.5 best XV players

So we did gain a lot of extra points with those extra premos imo. Helping us to the premmy.

haha, yeah.

I think you could have gotten the premmie without those guys though, and you're going to be really feeling the loss of the players you traded out in a year or two. :P

Nails

Don't think we could've without Montags

He was like a 20ppg boost.

Think about it that 3 player gain is probably a good 50 points/game

We wouldn't have even been close imo.

If I had my time again I'd trade that whole out list for Montagna #BEAST

meow meow

meow's trades

meow gives: Rookie Pick 13
Pickers gives: Corey Enright

meow gives: Jack Redden, Harley Bennell and pick #28 in the national draft.
Pickers gives: Steve Johnson, Scott Thompson (ade) and Lenny Hayes.

Hawka gives: Nick Dal Santo
meow gives: Jeff Gartlett, John Butcher and rook pick 27

LaHug gives: Pick 10 + 28
meow gives: Sam Mitchell + 56

meow gives: Pick 13
Spinking gives: Nick Riewoldt

Nails' trades

Nails gives: D.Martin + J.Hombsch + D.Myers
Pickers gives: L.Montagana + J.Brown + S.Dempster

Nails trades: Luke Breust and Pedobear (Pederson)
Scrads trades: Rookie 1 + 23

Pickers gives: Rookie 12 + Rookie 17
Nails gives: M.Wallis + Rookie 55

Pickers gives: J.Bartel
Nails gives: R.Griffen

All Nails did was inherit a premiership quality list and then basically swap Martin and Griffen for Bartel and Montagna.

Vinny

Wowwweeeee didnt know Dusty and Griffen were traded.

But I guess we got solid return.

Still, you can win a premiership with guys between 24-28 too. haha

Nails

You got to remember when we did those trades it was pre-2013

Dustin Martin was an 85 average forward with discipline problems and Ryan Griffen was a 97 average midfielder which made him around our 10th best mid.

Martin wasn't in our top 6 forwards post trades nor was Griffen even close to a starting mid.

Therefore we made trades for players who were.

Vinny

Yeah that's fair enough.

Guess it was a good move back then.

haha it's interesting to see trades that were done that far back.

Holz

I don't think Holz trades area really "great" perse

He just gave up heaps of players and half his depth for fewer players and picks. If anyone had what holz had to start with they're easy to pull off.

So moves like mumford for Goldy, Thomas + Chaplin for selwood, pick 1 for rance. etc.. aren't any good?

Everyone says I have bad depth but I have a lot of players stocked up who are good. People said guys like Hansen black etc.. we're all useless than they showed what they were capable of.

I'm very happy with my bench plus my starting 15 is basically all young. I think picking up old guys is easy .

A few years ago ward was my best player now I have Goldy Rocky selwood boak buddy rance dogall etc...

Nails

picking up old guys is easy, notice I never nominated myself for the award?

You essentially traded guns for guns #easy #idc #overit

Toga

Think the only trade I've ever done super well for myself in was this one in Asians feat. picker_man 8)

Lambs give: Shaun Grigg + Shannon Hurn + Jeremy Howe

Lambs get: Steve Johnson + Scott Thompson (ADE) + Hayden Crozier

Seemed very fair at the time I think, but Grigg & Thompson averaged the same, while Croz is only 10ppg behind Howe so far in this format despite being vested semi-regularly, so essentially it was the breakout top averaging player in the comp (Johnson = 156 avg) for an 87 avg defender + 10 ppg + age

#LambDomination 8)

Nails

To be honest I'd even say you lost a couple of those trades Holz

Dylan Shiel + Stephen Coniglio + Brandon Ellis + Daniel Pearce for Deledio + Hogan

Gun, Gun, Gun + meh for a guy who averaged 95 this year and a prospect.

Spinking

Some pretty good contenders for this award.

I've given my vote to Holz, because he regularly seems to find value where others don't see it. I've been surprised a few times to see him trade aggressively for someone only to find out they are actually younger and average better than I expected. Mx2 does this also, but Holz has the demonstrated runs on the board.

I agree with Zips comments before - Nails did a great job of guaranteeing his team the flag, but they will probably be in trouble in a few years.  Respect for doing it though.

Nige

Holz is getting all the votes because I wasn't even nominated.

An example of my work?

Nick Duigan for ND Pick 34 and Rohan Bail.

Thanks for coming.  ;)
