Jroo says: McDonough was another who impressed in the VFL this season and he even earned a call up to the seniors. McDonough's stats suggest he's going to be a great fantasy forward for many years to come. He's still developing though and he isn't in the Tigers' best 22 just yet, but he has lots of skills and if he continues to work hard he could push out senior players out of the side, such as King. If he's given games he could be someone to consider, but I think a few are ahead of him at the moment.

He's an important part of the Tigers' side and one of my favourite Tigers to watch, as he throws himself at every contest, but his objective is to shut down his opponent and not find the football, which isn't what you're looking for in fantasy land. Jroo says: The former Tiger captain fantasy scores declined again this year and he is no longer a lock in the side's best 22. Youngsters such as Vlastuin have moved ahead of him and I don't think Newman will play every game next year, as the Tigers' will look to manage the veteran's workload. After many years of being a premium defender, I think his scores will continue to decline.

Jroo says: Petterd didn't let his second chance go to waste, impressing at Richmond this year, coming off the rookie list. He has shown he can be a good fantasy player as well and he seems to have locked a spot down back, in the club'h best 22. He still has areas to improve on such as his kicking, but he already has plenty of skills to become a good player. I see him slightly increasing his average from last year.

Jroo says: Rance may be a key defender, but he is still able to score well in fantasy, but he's more suited to SuperCoach. Rance will only get better next year and he's still fairly young. The inclusion of Chaplin helped him this year and will continue to assist him in the future. Rance would make a good POD and if he can close the gap between his good games and bad games and become more consistent, then he wouldn't be a bad choice as he can certainly find the football for a key defender.

Jroo says: The two-time Coleman medallist was somewhat disappointing in 2013, but the star forward has impressed in the preseason and Hardwick has said that Riewoldt will push up the ground in 2014, which should boost his fantasy scores. Riewoldt isn't overly expensive and as he should improve his fantasy output, so he may be worth taking a punt on.

Jroo says: Vickery started the year on fire, but soon dropped away in form. I think Vickery will again improve in fantasy land, as he continues to develop. He will be used mostly up forward as the inclusion of Hampson will allow Vickery to spend more time up forward, as he won't have to ruck. We've seen in glimpses, what Vickery is capable of, so he's someone to watch.

Jroo says: The youngster was very impressive in only his first year of senior football, playing 18 AFL games (including finals). He impressed with some of his fantasy scores too, averaging 75 in SC and 69 in DT, meaning he's someone to watch in the future. I don't think he'll suffer from the 'second-year blues' and he wouldn't be a bad buy as a defender. He'll be a gun fantasy player in the future, too.

Banfield has never been a big fantasy scorer in the past and I wouldn't expect him to score overly well at Richmond, but he's cheap and you could pick him as a cash cow, so watch him over the preseason and see if he gets elevated to the senior list.
