The Australian are reporting that Karmichael Hunt will be returning to the Broncos.
Gold Coast will be two players down, but it's not that bad they should free up some cash by this.

more money in league  :P ::) Probs a better League player, but can he make the Broncos team with Benny Barba there :o

Master Q

Don't think the Suns would be upset  :P

I don't live in Queensland but from what I understand he didn't do much from a marketing point of view...

Mailman the 2nd

Uh there would be a significantly larger sum of money in AFL and he certainly pioneered the introduction of the Gold Coast (which led to GWS) and provided the AFL with a pretty high marketing priority over rival sports.

He's largely done his job. It's getting to a point where he's longer needed in the team or for the AFL and I for one think he was hardly the worst player in the AFL.

Heck he did better than Folau :P

Noz

Why couldn't he decide this before the draft so the Suns could draft another player to replace him. You don't just wake up one morning and think hmm i might switch codes.

probably would never get a game again. happy to have him at the broncos

Karmichael proved he could play AFL at a level that contributes to the team.... About all he can do really, so best of luck in the nrl

Although a few sites are reporting it they are invariably referring back to the age article.

Would wait for that to be confirmed as he denied going back to League 3 weeks ago in an interview.  Know things can change but need to wait for official confirmation.

Karmichael Hunt for those that do not live in Queensland did a lot of promotional work on the coast especially this year while recuperating from injury. He and Ablett are the most recognised players from the Suns in Qld so in that regard promotion was a success.

+1 Ringo.

Not quite sure of it is the same now, as I don't live in the south east anymore, but ask kids about there favourite player, Hunt would probably be second to Gaz.

Justin Bieber

I don't mind it. He was only taking a young gun spot on the occasion

****. Cue footage of him kicking the goal after the siren over and over again.

Won't affect them much, except for the timing. I would think it is reasonable to give them a compo pick or something if he goes.

Anyone who knows much about NRL got an opinion on whether he can make the transition back, considering how much his body shape changed during his time in the AFL?

Folau came back even better.

Him leaving now might have been agreed with the club, as someone said, to keep taking up some salary cap.
