Kade Simpson: 94,93,95. Hasn't averaged less than 90 in 5 years and killed it in the back half of the year.
There's a lock

Some players you start for a potential price rise, others you start because you know you will want to finish with them. I will pick up others when they are proven. Mitch is already there.

cant you find players you want to end with who will maintain or increase their average?

Kade Simpson and Pearce Hanley are 50k cheaper and should average about the same.

Scott thompson 40k cheper, better bye and could easiliy outscore him.
What were their averages for the last 3 seasons Holz? I'm unable to check right now. Only online due to being on a ferry while working.

Hanley 83 91 96 increasing
Simpson 95 94 95 constant (however he has changed role and went 100+ in that role)
Thompson 84 89 98 increasing again

so 2 out of 3 increasing, 1 constant (but increasing with role)

mitchell is decreasing because of age and or role.

all 4 are guys you want to finish with.

the way I like to look at it is where do you spend that 50k.

i think i can incrasing my points elsewhere by more than i lose (if i lose any at all)

Bones Bombers

Yep, I take all the points. Just like Mitch I guess. Stands tall whenever needed.
Hanley annoyed me last year. Thompson is key position and seems to be given points by VS. Simpson is very skinny, plays reckless meaning gets knocked about. Who knows what Mick will do to improve the blues.
Personal choice I guess. May end up with all of them if they prove themselves.
Also hoping Mitch might go back in the middle more. Might only mean an injury or 2 to other Hawks for that to happen.

Vinny

When has Simpson being skinny ever been a problem? He is a warrior and goes hard. Simpson will average 95-105.

Bones Bombers

Hope so for your sake Vinny. He gives it all he has.

Ricochet

McVeigh just edges out Mitchell in my team i think

Same here.

Starting both Mitchell and Mcveigh. They are the only 2 defenders I'm confident will both average100+

Cannot agree more Quinny. 100% locks both of them.

Dayze

At least 3 of Mitchell McVeigh Walker and Bartel will finish 100+.
I can also imagine Hanley and simpson should get close.
im not so sure scotty T will improve his average much more.
already averaging huge numbers for a KPD.

I can see what holz is saying in that they don't offer a lot of value and scope for improvement, but i used a lot of trades in the backline last season, and if i could get a set and forget backline it could really free up ur efforts to improve all ur other lines first...
I look at those names above and compare them with my last seasons D2 in Gibbs and i feel far far more comfortable with the old brigade.
All durable, all proven scorers in quality teams with midfield rotations...

Walker could be making a move forward so I don't trust him just yet and jimmy could certainly average 100 but I'm more confident in Mitch and Mcveigh.
Gone are the days of just locking in Goddard and Lids :(

Vinny

Have you put your team into the Fanplanner Quinny?

Yeah I did a couple of weeks ago but haven't adjusted it. Just hanging out for supercoach gold to open the team picker.

Whys that?

Vinny

Just wondering, was going to ask did you fit your team into the cap easily? Obviously there has been changes since you last when like Martin, Hogan, Danger, Daisy etc,

Yeah I wouldnt know. Ill  just wait for real prices before I get my hopes up. I don't mind paying a premium price to get the guys I'm confident in though. Regardless of price I'll be getting
Mcveigh and Mitchel down back
Ablett and Pendles in the mid
NicNat in the ruck
Danger and Martin forward.
They are my premium locks at this stage and couldn't start without them
