Interesting article here, saying too pick Daniel Rich :o Is tempting at $365,500.

Rocky mid only, locked in. Good too see Mayes retain dpp, and Hanley Gain it.

Ricochet

Hadn't even considered Rich actually. Although he'll cop even more attention now Black is gone

Jroo

Taylor, O'Brien, Beams and Aish are rookies who could play.
I'll probably pick Rocky, Berger and Hanley while Redden and Adcock could be PODs.

Master Q

We all saw it coming but I am still upset. Rocky  :'(

Until Rich learns to break a tag he isn't joining my fantasy team.

Hanley should be in a lot of teams this year due to lack of backs.

Mitchell, McVeigh, Bartel, Simpson, Hibberd, Birchall, Suckling, Hanley, Ibbotson, RHenderson, Grimes... plus kids like DSwallow and Seedsman... I'm struggling to pick backs

Should of added premium  :P

Backs were a mess in 2013, even with new additions and mid pricers becoming more appealing we lost guys like Goddard (I'm assuming), Heppell and more, off the top at my head.

Ricochet

Yeh and Gibbs. McVeigh, Mitchell and a few others will go around the 100+ though.

Mitchell, McVeigh, Hodge (forgot about him), Ibbotson, Bartel, Lumumba, Enright, Hibberd, Walker all aveaged more than Hanley and guys like Birchall, Grimes, Henderson should all go 85-90+ as well. Plenty of backline premo options ;)

Well you really just proved my point. Guys who are average 85-90 are now being called premiums. And a lot of them are inconsistent too. But we'll see all our options when DT is open  ;)

Purple 77

Duffman could maybe push 90 in a good year...

Ricochet

I only said Birchall, Grimes and Henderson would. Hanley only went 85...

ftw i think 90+ is premo for DT backline. Only Goddard, Heppell and Ibbotson averaged more than 90 last year. This years defenders that averaged over 90 are McVeigh, Mitchell, Bartel, Ibbotson and Hodge. And then there's guys like Simpson who get added as a defender and can easily average 90+. Your point was lack of backline premiums, mine was there are more of them ;)

Master Q

Which means lots of people will get Hanley, because the auto-picks like Goddard are gone, and backmen are scoring poorly. A few years ago there were plenty of backmen who would consistently score over 100 off the top of my head.

I know we have Bartel and Mitchell now but there is a lack of TRUE premiums. Last year IMO there were only three back premiums...

Why will lots pick Hanley? Mitchell, McVeigh, Hodge, Ibbotson, Bartel, Lumumba, Enright, Hibberd, Walker all aveaged more than him. And like i said before there are guys like Birchall, Henderson, Grimes and Simpson who have premo ability. There are more decent defender options this year.
