Verdict: Murphy is coming off a career best season (SC wise) but turns 32 during 2014. He had a very strong second half of the year, but he is the 5th most expensive defender this year but I don't think he will be a top 5 defender come the end of the season. He could make a decent POD though with most people picking McVeigh, Walker, Mitchell, Hodge and Simpson over him. Not for me though.

Played the entire season forward? Don't know what games you were watching but I definitely saw him on the half back line playing loose or manning up on someone. That's something I didn't know if so though
