Markworth could be an absolute gem. would have got games early last year if not for his injury. I think he'll play pretty early

Ricochet

I'm liking Longer at that price

Vinny

Brad, who you reckon will be No.1 ruck mate? Longer or Hickey.

personally would have Hickey over Longer atm. Hickey's ruck work was really good towards the end of last year and think he'd be pretty unlucky to not hold the #1 spot. having said that though I still think both can play in the same team. they are similar sort of players but Longer is much more handy up forward than Hickey... so both could line up, not sure how this will affect their scoring though

Longer looks smexy at that price. Brad/other st Kilda supporters, what's the chance of Eli Templeton getting games?

Bill Manspeaker

wouldn't expect him to play early, as he'd need to be upgraded, but anything could happen due to injuries. might play a couple games but probably not enough for DT/SC. anything could happen though

Nige

Even though it's gonna be fairly unlikely, if Eli gets elevated and plays Round 1. Pounce.

The Mummy/Longer combo could be interesting.

I kind of feel the opposite way, I like the looks of Longer in the ruck. He's two years younger than Hickey and already averaging twice as many hitouts. It's a small sample size so that could change in the future but I rate the kid very highly.

Thanks beads :) Went to give you a cheer...

yeah no doubt mate, he has bucket loads of talent, I was just thinking he's a better forward than Hickey and I can't see us not playing Hickey, so I think both will probably play, but Hickey to do more of the ruck work at the centre bounce. that's not saying Longer won't do any work in the middle otherwise we wouldn't have picked him up, they are both excellent tap ruckmen.. but I guess I just see Hickey doing more of the work.

but I trust your judgment over mine. you have a much better track record than me. so you're probably right :P
