Been lucky enough to never have him. Dont think i will start now :P

Apparently wont start full training untill late Jan, http://www.westernbulldogs.com.au/news/2013-11-27/no-hurry-with-higgins
I can see the value if it pays off but it's a BIG IF ;D

the warning signs are already there, im thinking of taking him out of my team. We just neeed some good back options so we dont need to start.

Def worth the risk at that price, but unlikely to be ready for R1. Could be handy for a rookie cash-ins later in the season.

Doggoneit

There is absolutely no way he will be named Round 1.

He won't see the training track until the new year so I can't see how he can be at full fitness by the start of the season.
Macca has plenty of emerging forwards/midfielders that he wants to get games into.
They now have a standalone VFL team to manage him back through
There is no reason to rush back an injury plagued player

Last sentence of the article reads...
"Higgins is tracking really well, he is moving into some one on one skills, he has been doing some volume for quite a while and he is coping really well,

Good news, hopefully Higgins is back in round one, as I'd probably pick him, if fit  :-X

Ricochet

Thats good he has been doing a bulk of work already. Would like to hear that he's back in the main group sometime soon though

shaker

His price is very tempting and I think he is only 26 but the Bulldogs have moved on a fair way since he started on this long injury curse if he can overcome it finally he could be the bargain of the season time will tell

+100

but in AFL Fantasy (AF) with YOLO trades you might consider it for quick cash if he's a rd1 starter maybe, but still prepare to tear your hair out ...

'burn me once, shame on you; burn me twice, shame on me' - is there a bit for 3rd time (un)lucky??  ;)

Should not be considered in your SC team ever. If you pick him then you're gonna have a bad time.

NMFC97

Good write up on him in The Age.

Mentions the possibility of more time in the midfield and defence which would have to be positive in terms of fantasy output. If named rd 1 will have to strongly consider.

BAH

"when he returns from injury"

"will be back in training in two weeks"

so... he's still injured and not going to start training until a week before there first NAB game

nothing has changed here and i 100% certainly won't be picking him even if he does line up, the man is poison

ubeaut

Could be 1 of those players most are too scared to pick and then do well. I've never been burnt by him only had him 1st non-serious attempt at SC and he was cheap, scored well maybe that was his last decent season. Never picked him since.
Any player could get injured. Is Higgins getting injured any worse than any other similar priced player getting injured? Or does it just SEEM worse cos he's burnt u so many times?

Hippo

For me any other player with a injury history like Higgins has to be training by now to be considered
