Fair enough but that happened at the end of the season, who's to say it won't happen again as other teams may have seen this. Just saying, it's too risky for me. No doubt he is a good player.

Well just for the pure fact that teams aren't going to leave either of Cotchin or Lids untagged to tag Ellis. He is about 4th in line for the tag. Carlton tagged all of Ellis, Cotchin, Lids and Martin which is pretty unheard of.

It's really irrelevant anyway because he won't average 110+ tagged or not which he would need to to justify a spot I your midfield

Carlton didnt tag Lids, but yeah you are right. No one is gonna pick him in midfield.
