Sounds obvious but Tackling has to improve big time to make top 8 in 2014

it is a very big concern i have recently been looking at other teams tackling compared to ours and it is not pretty

For Example: GWS on ten occasions laid more tackles then our players and this is the team that is just in their second season of AFL now that is a huge worry going into 2014


take a look for example at round 19

GWS laid 107 tackles vs Melbourne compared to our 59 tackles vs port and you might say its just melbourne that the giants played well take a look at round 22 Melbourne won the tackle count 70-64 only a difference by 6 but GWS stilll managed 107 tackles over them so that is quite embarrassing for our players really.

If it doesnt improve in 2014 we will not be able to match it with the top teams it is a must to improve on

We were ranked 17th for tackles in 2013 meaning teams like GWS, Gold Coast, Bulldogs, Stkilda etc are better tacklers.

They need to turn it around like Port Power did from being ranked 16th in 2012 to 5th in 2013 big jump for them in tackling

if we can do that i'm confident we can go one step further then 2012 and potentially win the flag its been 16 years now the drought has to end.

I disagree with some issues in this post. Of course GWS will lay more Tackles against Melbourne than you will against port. Like of course a team playing the worst team in the comp will have more tackles than a team playing a top 8 team.

Also, whats wrong with the Dogs/Suns tackling more than you? Both are pretty good teams and it isnt that concerning the Giants tackling more cause they never get the ball :o

It's always a Victoria vs South Australia thing with you? The rest of the country don't think you can win the flag either. In fact I haven't seen a ladder prediction from a non Adelaide supporter that even has Adelaide in the 8
