Here is the staement fo all to read

It is a joke but within the rules:
Basically the result is Essendon are paying an advance to Hird equal to his contract obligations for 2014 now and not paying him anything in 2014 so in effect no real monetary sanction at all.

So many things make me angry about this it's not even funny hard to even put it into words but things like people thinking they know everything because they read a news headline really pisses me off there's always 2 sides to a story

Essendon took a banned substance that wasn't even meant for humans and Essendon story is what? They want to treat there players like pigs?

Essendon went against the rules of letting players train with them without lodging the proper paper work and Essendon story is what? They forgot the rules

Just accept the fact that Essendon flowered up.

I'm just trying to understand Essendon side of the story you talked about you already knew it.

kilbluff1985

your the one that talks like you already know the whole story

i just want it to be over and if any infractions are to be given to happen already has gone on for nearly a year yet Saad was dealt with within weeks :o bit different investigating a whole club as opposed to one player but still

Ziplock

well, if you consider saad took several months, multiply that by 40+ players... most of essendon will be retired by the time a verdict is reached :P

haha, I was just putting it into a time frame

so saad was initially found out in what, like july right?

so it look about 4 months for his verdict... so at that rate it should take over a dozen years to find out about essendon :P

Article just in - James Hird has been banned by the AFL from attending Essendon's christmas party.

Jeeeezus that passes for a story? I mean hell I guarantee I could go through anyone's email and pull out a few conversations out of context and make all sorts of crap up.

**This just in: people who work in the sports area may be loosely associated with other people in the sports area who may be doing dodgy things.**

**Also in breaking news, supplement companies may in fact grossly over embellish their claims**

These is the pages for the HP-100 stuff mentioned in all those emails

Don't bother reading it all, let me just say it's an overly deconstructed way of presenting a bunch of things that are not strictly untrue, but are certainly very misleading. The word "peptides" has taken on a very negative meaning from all this, peptides are just protein. If you ate meat or beans or nuts or chees or yoghurt etc etc last night, you consumed peptides. IGF can be found in milk. It's a total non-issue, the doses you have to use for it to have noticable benefit far exceed what you can digest, hence the need to purify and inject it if you're doping. There's lots of nice sciencey stuff in there about myostatin and drug trials with MYO-029, a fantastic bunch of smoke and mirrors to make people pay more for an ultimately simple product. I've personally studied myostatin. They've been trying to use drug blockades on it since it was discovered in 1997. Haven't succeeded yet. I assure you, Australian Sports Nutrition has not cracked something that scientists have been trying for over 15 years... Eichner wanted some protein and had a connection to a supplement company rep through his job. Hardly exciting or scandalous.

[edit: sorry I meant to add that this is in no way directed at KB, you're a good bloke. More of a "don't let sensationalist journalism make you think there's conspiracies where there aren't any"]
