Can McMahon push his way back in to the team?
i doubt it

mullet, atley and macmillon have cemented their spots in the side, and we have plenty of other young defenders coming through.
THere was this article about him last week - http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-11-23/mcmahon-to-rebound-after-disappointing-season
He's pretty much been a lock in their defense the last 4-5 years, just injuries got the better of him this year. At 27 he should be in the prime of his career...

roo boys!

Nah I disagree I reckon McMahon will be back in the side, he plays a pretty pivotal role for us when he's playing his best football so if he can return to that level he'll slot back into that defensive 6.

I think Ben Brown is going to be a smokey for North and really help their structure. He was in ripping form in the VFL and through the Foxtel cup last year. He can play forward but he can also ruck and if he was on the North list last season I think they may have given him a crack. He might be the best option they actually have to give Goldstein a chop out in the ruck and do a decent job while also being able to play up forward successfully.

what sort of role do you guys see macmillon with this year

My take on the Roos side for Round 1.

FB: S. Thompson, M.Firrito, L. Hansen
HB: S. McMahon, N. Grima, J. MacMillan
C: D. Wells, N. Dal Santo, S. Atley
HF: B. Harvey, A, Black, L. Adams
FF: L. Thomas, D. Petrie, R. Nahas
R: T. Goldstein, J. Ziebell, B. Cunnington

INT: A. Mullett, R. Bastinac, M. Daw
SUB: S. Gibson

Toss up between Nahas and Harper up forward, but I do like Nahas and thought he was a great pick up in replacement for Edwards.

L. Anthony and L. Greenwood are always there and about, really though, should have traded them IMO. Gibson might be unlucky in making way for Swallows return mid-season.

McDonald is still a while away, McKenzie is infront and is unlucky to miss out. Hine, Jacobs, Wright and Tippett also make for good depth down back.

Daw or Currie...honestly, I prefer Currie, but we know they have their heart set on playing Daw.

Afl.com.au has Harper listed as having an ankle injury- probably 3 weeks away anyway
