TODD Goldstein has started talks with North Melbourne about extending his contract beyond 2014, with the ruckman suggesting he has little interest in exploring free agency.

dont imagine he will go, if he does our premiership chances leave with him, easily our most important player and possibly the most important player to their team in the whole comp.

carries the ruck basically alone and burns himself out every game.

Grazz

Agree Holz doubt he will go anywhere. Bleeds for the club and stated he wants success there.

North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein believes that the Roos are kidding themselves if they target a top-four finish.

"We'd be kidding ourselves if we started thinking top four or a Grand Final at this stage," Goldstein said.

"We've made the finals once in five years and that wasn't pretty that result (a 96-point elimination final loss to West Coast in 2012).

"All we can do now is get in a position to make the finals and only once we're guaranteed of that can we start thinking about other things.

I like this. It's these sort of things that remind us of how different the view is from within a club as to how it is outside.
It's the exterior predictions from people and media etc that make people say "north Melbourne are cocky, they think they will finish top 4".. No. Everyone else says that, north Melbourne are only worried about winning enough games to play finals. Big deifference

Exactly right Quinny.
About Goldy, I think it's highly unlikely he'll move.
