THE AFL is investigating whether Essendon breached league rules for allowing rookie draft candidates train with the club ahead of yesterday's draft.

The Bombers face more scrutiny from the AFL - and potentially more fines - after allegations up to 12 players may have trained with the club ahead of the rookie draft.

I don't see the big deal we forgot to send in who was training with us?

Compared to the rest of our year this is nothing and you guys are making a big fuss out of nothing

If it was another team everyone would be like meh who cares

No Essendon fans have commented cause you all have given shower to is all year and we CBF anymore

Just a few of the many feelings as an Essendon fan at this point. I'm tired of trying to defend the club, hopefully they can sort out the deficiencies which seem to still exist (!?!?) in the club admin.

It seems less that the club is trying to cover being shady and more that they're just really poor and lazy with any sort of administrative work.

Its not fair to the players or the other 17 clubs actually attempting to keep in line and the board needs to pick it up

The point is it wasn't another team Essendon broke the rules its simple as that. Breaking the rules is breaking the rules no matter how you look at it. From lying to the AFL to taking drugs its all the same really.
