They say, we say: Club-by-club verdicts on the 2013-14 Pre-Season and Rookie Drafts

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-11-27/they-say-we-say-rookie-draft-verdicts

They say
'We had Luke Delaney go out, so we wanted to get a key back to replace him if we could. Joel has spent time on rookie lists at two other clubs, but he was a late starter to football, and he had injuries in his time at both Brisbane and Gold Coast. Hes been really consistent since moving across to West Adelaide, playing 41 games in the last two years, as that last line defender with the capability of playing on the power forwards. Kayne Turner will be a development player. If he had been born six hours later, he wouldnt have been eligible for the draft. Hes a slightly built lad, but he's unconditional in his attack on the ball. Hes got very good hands, he sees the game well, and he's got a lot of speed as well. We think he can play small back, small forward and even wing.' - recruiting manager Bryce Lewis

We say
The Kangaroos capped a big off-season of on- and off-field signings by taking much talked about key defender Tippett, the younger brother of Sydney Swan Kurt, along with late bolter Kayne Turner. At only 67kg, Turner will be a project player, but given the club took three players with senior state league experience at last weeks NAB AFL Draft, and added mature bodies Nick Dal Santo and Robbie Nahas via free agency, it could afford to be speculative with its final pick in the rookie draft. - Mark Macgugan

dont mind tippett just more backup down back, losing delaney was the biggest blow of the season.

Mcdonald Dummont NDS gained for the cost of pick 8 + 30 would have to put us as one of the best off seasons out there.

Ziplock

I'm rating Jippett this season personally.

too actually play?

Thompson Grima Hansen with Delaney to come in i would say. Would need some serious injuries.

roo boys!

Good get I reckon in Tippett. Hopefully both of the rookies go well when given the chance.

Mailman the 2nd

Tippett is 25, so I'd say they expect him to play in this coming season or the one after
