Thanks Jukesy, appreciate it! :)

Re: the defenders, I'm not sure man - gotta play rookies somewhere I guess and I think those guys should get games between them this year. Clurey definitely ready to step into the AFL I think, while Fuller should become a regular at the Doggies.

Re: Christensen, I think he's ready to break out! But one of my moves if I turned out to be over the cap would be to go Christensen --> Chapman or similar to save some $$

Re: Bombers (:P), I would definitely look to include Goddard/Heppell if they retained defender status, and Watson is definitely gonna be on my shortlist, but will have to see who would make way for him :-\

I won't quote my team as it will clog your feed but regarding my team (first one), I'm probably going to put Hoges on field so i'l trade karnezis to J.Impey, thoughts? will he get game and he wa ports first pick? any other suggestions?

For the sake of getting an actual bearing on my team rating can you please pretend that Ablett will average 115+

I'm unsure whether he'll get game time, as I am with most forward rooks apart from Hoges and Ben Lennon at this stage. Menzel and Varcoe are two others I'd consider with the cats' cleanout.

Firstly, love how this thread has 49 (including this one) responses in 26 hours, while my team thread has 34 in a month :P

Firstly, I don't really degrade a team based on Ablett. I just try and see it as a 620k-worth midfielder.

Likes
Structurally sound. A back injury/suspension will bring in a very good Scharenberg, Sheed or Dunstan if a midfielder is out (JMart is a lock best 22), and Lennon or Fasolo for a forward (probably Higgins!) (Hoges lock in the 22 obviously). That's a luxury not too many teams look to be having at this stage.
Apart from you know who, your midfield is very good. Sure about Scooter over Cotch though?
Very nice forward line for the money you've invested.

Dislikes
Ablett :P
I've also developed my mistrust of Sandi in this thread so far- if he goes down, which will happen, you'll be either relying on Goldstein or Mummy missing too, or burning a trade. Not a tasty proposition if I may say so myself.

Suggestions
I'd personally go Ablett to Cotchin and Sandi to Grundy, which would leave you with 120k-ish to spend. You won't do this, though...

Ratings
D: 9/10
M: 9/10
R: 7.35/10
F: 8.25/10
Overall: 8.5/10 very good team apart from those two.

Worth noting I have a feeling Impey won't be a forward... From what I've read about him i gather he's a defender (that's what he's listed as on the Draft Machine), so just something to consider!

Yeah it is quite a risk but i think it could pay off, sandi should last at least until the bye rounds and from there he should be upgraded. I don't rate Cotchin, i mean he will average low 100s but i think he will have the same output as Murphy! So i probably won't downgrade GAZ to Cotch but i will definitely look into my ruck dilemma, thanks for the feedback

So since your last team,
IN: Suckling, Ballard | Watson, Beams, J. Martin, Sheed | Minson, Grundy, Hickey | Naitanui
OUT: Waters, Gardiner | Cotchin, Polec, Crouch, Morabito | McEvoy, McIntosh, Currie | Johnson

Likes
Few great ins there: Suckling, Watson and JMart
A lot less risky without Waters, Morabito and McIntosh
Hickey adds great depth to your ruckline and can generate some good $$$

Dislikes
Cotchin out is a blow, I reckon he's in for a big one
Crouch is a great youngster who should rack it up, reckon he's worth including over Sheed or Billings

Ratings changes
D: 9/10 to 9.1/10
M: 9/10 to 9.2/10
R: 7.5/10 to 8/10
F: 8/10 to 7.8/10
Overall: 8.4/10 to 8.6/10 very good team with minimal flaws.

I think Rosa should improve his average and price significantly, not enough for my team however. Watch his pre-season form.

Thanks im much happier with this team, it feels more solid to me. thanks :)

Again nice depth on the three major lines, Scharenberg and Fasolo+Lennon (assuming you rightly field Hoges) are good cover while Sheed and Crouch are great.
Savage is a nice unique.
Related to the first like, very good team structure.
Good team name :P

Dislikes
Not a fan of HamMac as I've previously elaborated on.
Apart from Ham, there's a few injury prone guys in there- Higgins, Waters and Claye Beams for example. Not a problem, but it could be when you have more injuries than trades.

Ratings
D: 9.25/10
M: 8.5/10
R: 7.5/10
F: 8.5/10
Overall: 8.5/10 good side at this stage, especially in terms of depth which I like.

Trades from last time I posted here are -
Houli-Howard
Liberatore-Franklin (via Rockliff dpp)
Lecras-Pavlich
Fasolo-Lennon
Kelly-Cotchin
Nankervis-Longer
McIntosh and Sandilands have a bad injury history so I've gone with Longer as quality back-up ruck.
Thoughts?
