BREAKING NEWS: Alfonso Thomas has been withdrawn from the Scorchers 13-man squad due to a back injury sustained in training yesterday. He has been replaced in the extended team by Hilton Cartwright.

Thomas will be assessed by medical staff over the next 24-48hrs ahead of the squad announcement for Friday's clash with Sydney Sixers at the SCG.

Ended up trading Clive Rose to Ashton Turner and Nathan Hauritz to Brett Lee.

Figured that Binga would be a decent option considering he pretty much bowls his overs and snags a few wickets, even if he isn't economical at times.

Turner can bowl but is being used as a batsman.
