OK we really need some fwds so we'll take this guy. Mature aged fwd/mid, who has kicked bags of goals in the SANFL.

Nathan Gordon

Holz

Scrads picks Zachary Merrett

Ziplock

Unfortunately the two blokes we had our eye on were Merrett and Taylor. Now they're gone, and considering the relative lack of depth DT wise in this draft, we're going to go pretty left field with pick 24.

Mitch Honeychurch

Not only does he have one of the top 3 names in this draft, he's a bit of a dt machine. Averages 103 in U18s and 94.5 in TAC, he's a contested ball machine

averaged 25 possessions in U18s, 11.5 of which were contested, the 4th highest out of those who played more than 4 games of U18. He also averaged 4 clearances a game, 5 tackles and more than a goal a game.

Unless he tested very poorly in the draft combine, the only reason I can see him slipping so far in the draft is his size.

Speculative pick, but I'll back him in.

Go Honey-bunny!

Nige

I haven't really consulted Bunny on this one, but I sent him a PM telling him to trust in my drafting skills.  :P

Might as well exercise my powers as an assistant at the Iceland Polar Bears and select Jarman Impey.

Our midfield is pretty good and has nice depth, but our defenders and forwards could use some bolstering.

Impey, who not only has an awesome name, played forward and midfield in his junior career and looks to be used as running defender by Port... Hopefully that means he gets given DPP (fingers crossed).

Its just his size. Other than that he is the complete package. Then again Harvey, Bell ect are/were all small players and still go alright. Good pick up, he was on our shortlist

Give him 3 years and he will be a Matthew Stokes/Steven Motlop like fwd

Nost is currently offline and Russia have 2 picks in a row here. I have messaged him on facebook.

As soon as I hear back confirmation I will post. Shouldn't be too long.

Yeah, when I first saw his stats I was so confused until I saw how little he was. Fingers crossed he can crack into the dogs side.

I would have liked Honeychurch and he almost slipped :(. Although Impey looks like a good option, cheers Nigey 8). Nigey shall be handling the Nat drafting for Iceland as we trust him to do his job ;).

Small forwards that push into the midfield. Motlop a lot younger and without the fitness base to play as much in the middle as Stokes atm. Pretty similar really.

Sorry everyone for the delay.

All sorted.

Nat pick 26 - Darcy Lang
Nat pick 27 - Toby Nankervis
