Hi Ringo
I have seen you have made a few changes getting Garlett in for Polec & Mcintosh replced by Mumford which is a good move as there is no certainty Mcintosh will be the Starting Ruckman at the Cats. I think you made the right decision there. Varcoe was a good decision to leave out as he won't be the price that fanplanner states.

Ringo

With the DT prices released today and if SC follows suit with rookies may need more than the $100k spare.

Will have to really look at this team but waiting till DPP are confirmed.

Players not retaining DPP according to leaked data in this team Kade Simpson, Tom Rockliff, Dale Thomas, Nic Natanui, Ariel Steinberg and Liam McBean.

Martin and Hogan if SC follow suit will also not be priced at $115k (Both $268k in DT) so another concern.

Ringo

Been playing around since prices have been released and have come up with this side.  Obviously rookies will depend who is playing from Round 1 as I want them to max so they can be cashed in during byes which are earlier this year,

With the real increase in prices this year hard to get the structure I wanted.

DEF: J. McVeigh, K. Simpson, J. Grimes, M. Suckling, M. Buntine, L. McDonald (J. Battersby, H. Schade)
MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, T. Rockliff, R. Sloane, D. Beams, D. Tyson, C. Beams, V. Michie (L. Dunstan, X. Ellis)
RUC: M. Lobbe, A. Sandilands (B. Longer, R. Lobb)
FWD: P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, D. Zorko, S. Higgins, M. Clark, S. Kersten (D. Markworth, D. Garlett)
CASH LEFT: $100

Bye Structure 10/8/12 which I am comfortable with as 7 of the Round 10 bye players are rookies/cash cows who can be traded out.

Prem bye Structure 6/2/5

Have a few POD and different ruck structure to most as i think Lobbe as sole ruck may be the Minson of 2014.

Zorko is in there because he should be over the second year syndrome has added pace whilst still maintaining upper body strength so could be the major benefactor with Brown, Berger/West, McGuane/Paine/Lisle being tall targets up front. Leppas match plan in trying to keep ball in forward 50 will also assist Zorkos game as he is the second best tackler in Brisbane's side.

Buntine is another POD in defence who I think will benefit from Shaws addition at GWS and may have a break out year as well.

Tear it apart.

like the pick of buntine! may be someone i have to look into actually

zorko scares me from last year! i did start with him last year and golly was he a disappointment ... nevertheless a return to form wouldnt surprise me at all

sloane another POD and a dude i love as a player! unsure about his sc scoring another for me to check out ...

i havent seen too many teams with tyson cbeams and michie all in the one team ... if they all fire its genius

get higgins out of your life now!!! haha .. plus doubt he will play round 1 .....

really feel like i missing something with the popularity of clark :/ not a fan at all myself

Like too see a few uniques in there, some I agree with, some I dont.

Backs - Grimes has to turn into a good player one day, roos may bring it out, wont be touching buntind but see your reasoning. Dont really know much about battersby and schade as players who may play, too early to make a call on rookies but might need some extra cash here.

Mids - like the sloane pick, could see him averahing 110-115 with an aging thompson getting less mid time see him as second only to danger at the crows.like the rookies, similar to mine, worth paying a little extra here.

Rucks -Cant see it with lobbe, would rather go a premium goldy or minson, or nic nat/mumford, think all should outscore lobbe. A lot of money on the bench in longer but can see the reason, not a lot of rookie rucks who will play.

Fwd - dont like the zorko pick, cant see him getting a lot of mid time which I tjink he will need to improve his scores. Higgins may be a good pick one day, fasolo also available at the same price.

Ringo

My reasoning with Higgins is that he only has to play 5+ games and maintain his average and i make 150/200k and nice upgrade,  bear in mind take out his sub effected games he averages over 90.  At the price this is too hard to ignore even though his SC file was marked never again.

I can see Zorko being a small forward similar to Betts in his prime and lift his scoring to 95+ which is reasonable for F3.

if higgins does not play round 1 are u still going to pick him?

Ringo

I will asses that when the situation is confirmed.  I am keeping an eye on him and how he is going. There are other options if he does not come up but I hope he does purely for the potential cash gain.

i am not gonna lie i have picked higgins that many times haha ... i know the kid can play

Looks good Ringo ... im not a fan of Higgins, he burns people every year and they still go with him.

Like your backline selections in McVeigh ....Simpson and Grimes have good fixtures early, Grimes will bounce back under Roos and be a great fantasy defender again i (we) hope.

Good mid structure and rooks, i have Michie, Tyson and Beams if named round 1 you would be silly not to go with them.

Polec and O'Rourke might be good mid benchies aswell if named round 1.

I like how you have Billy Longer emergency and bye back-up.

Anyone know anything about Fuller from WB think he's mature age defender from Norwood might get games costs a tad more at 150k ..could be good ?

Not interested in Bock (fwd)  ?  ..rock bottom price and should play next year and score enough to make cash/emergency back-up.

Ringo

Higgins could still become Bock depending on who is named for Round 1.

As you say if fuller is named could be a handy option.  has a long kick and mature aged as well but may be behind a few,

It will be interesting to see if Fuller gets games, hope he does. Theres been a couple of decent mature aged players from Norwood over the years ...Rowe, Duigan, Lower, Puopolo, Terlich

Ringo

Got Bored so made a team with a different structure.  Selected some mid price mids who i think will break out and then strengthened other lines.

Know my Brisbane Bias is in some selections but from what I have seen at training so far think both Rich and Zorko will improve on last years out put.

So comment on this team:

DEF: J. McVeigh, S. Mitchell, G. Birchall, D. Swallow, M. Suckling, L. McDonald (H. Schade, M. Fuller)
MID: S. Pendlebury, T. Rockliff, D. Beams, D. Rich, D. Thomas, D. Tyson, C. Beams, V. Michie (L. Dunstan, M. Crouch)
RUC: T. Goldstein, M. Lobbe (D. Currie, R. Lobb)
FWD: P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, D. Zorko, M. Clark, N. Bock, S. Kersten (D. Markworth, D. Garlett)
CASH LEFT: $69,700

Also needed a bit of cash in reserve should I need to play around with rookies for round 1 or adjust mid pricers.

Bye Structure is 12/8/10 which I can cope with

Backs: Have Improved since your last team like the Pick of David Swallow think he will Breakout this year. Birchall seems to be a unique Pick
Mids: Good to have a few mid Prices i think you may be right about Daniel Rich surely his scores will go up in 2014. Good to see you have stuck with Rookies that have the Round 10 bye.
Rucks: 2 Great Rucks i think Lobbe will only get better.
Fwds: Not so sure about the selection of Zorko but surely he can't go any worse there are a few other options you could have gone for Pavlich, Gunston or Chappie but Zorko is a unique option

Overall Great looking team i give it an 8/10
