Got bored, made a team

my team Fanplanner squad in the Super Coach competition. Salary cap left: $27,600.

Heath Shaw, Grant Birchall, Dyson Heppell, Beau Waters, Matt Suckling, Shaun Edwards
Clay Cameron, Isaiah Miller

Scott Pendlebury, Joel Selwood, Patrick Dangerfield, Marc Murphy, Dayne Beams, Dom Tyson, Claye Beams, Matt Crouch
Jack Martin, Xavier Ellis

Matthew Lobbe, Aaron Sandilands
Daniel Currie, Liam McBean

Steve Johnson, Tom Rockliff, Nic Naitanui, Dale Thomas, Mitchell Clark, Jonathon Patton
Alex Fasolo, Jesse Hogan

This is a structure I've never done before but so far I'm liking how it's coming together, especially the forwards. Don't read too much into rookies, they're mostly just place holders. I'm fancying Lobbe as a POD; he was pretty ordinary in the first half of 2013 but really came good after the bye. Only thing I'm not liking are my defence premiums.

Pretty solid both teams backs good there seems to be a lack of back rookies that will play at the moment , mids good so many good ones to choose from maybe in trouble round 8 , rucks look good not sold on Sandi , forwards good don't know about Patton if will be fit at the start of season overall a good base to start with .

GoLions

Defence: HepD will likely lose DPP, rest looks good
Mids: Looks good
Rucks: Definitely prefer team 2, don't like Lobbe in there
Forwards: SJ should lose DPP, so can downgrade him to someone like Dusty

Definitely prefer your 2nd team tbh, looks pretty good

Trying to take advantage of the mid pricers, let me know what you guys think

Anthonyyyy

I really like the team but I reckon Shaw is too big a risk for such a big price and I think you should get someone that is defiantly going to play well such as Simpson but apart from that the team looks very very strong :)

Looks good mate.

Shaw is a little risk as Anthony has stated, look at either Mitchell/Mcveigh as a replacement. Birch is a little risky with Suckling coming back with injury, not sure how his scores will be affected (tagging wise).

Try and get a Round 10 premo - Look at upgrading Murphy if you can. Starting without Ablett is very risky, and I know it's early but Crouch's JS could be a dilemma.

Rucks are standard.

I like the Wingard pick but I don't think it's good in terms of scoring.. Only his third year and the tag will come his way, look at Pavlich/Chapman for extra cash to upgrade elsewhere.

Some really good rookie choices, but not sure on Fasolo at $213k sitting on the bench.

7.5/10 mate, best of luck!

Shaw is risky as already stated. Not sure if waters is worth the $400K, i personally think grimes, watts, swallow etc are better options. Mids look pretty good, I had identical mids in a previous draft of mine, but felt a bit unsure on Murph, beams and Daisy being 3 of my top 5. Rucks are standard. Forwards are pretty good as well. Id look to maybe go Patton to a cheaper rookie then waters to a premium. Good side though :)

Cheers guys, did a bit of tweaking and produced this instead.

Defence:
I think Mitchell will be the top scoring defender this year, doesn't carry much risk so he's a certain starter for me at this point.
Hibberd will hopefully have a swole year. Haven't seen in too many teams so hopefully POD
Simpson should also improve on last year and rarely misses games.
Hoping Swallow has a breakout year.
Suckling is tentative at this stage, if he doesn't start Rd. 1, I'll upgrade him to Hurn or someone similar.

Mids:
Decided I still loved Ablett after all
Pendles for good measure
Beams + Murphy are way underpriced and hopefully both will go 120+
Thomas should be handy for coin

Rucks:
Nicnat will most likely be the highest scoring ruckman of 2014 if he stays fit.
Sandi can produce freak scores, even if he doesn't he'll still make money

Forwards:
Danger is a must
I said never again last year but I'll give Buddy one more go.
Hoping Pav will pull out 100 this year with a decent pre-season under his belt. But, I'm considering upgrading him anyway.
Caddy, Higgins and Fasolo should provide some good value and prove to be good cash cows. Also have players like Lamb and Rohan to choose from if they aren't starters.

Rookies are rookies, meh.

No thoughts given to the byes #yolo
