NOOOOO SIMPSSSONNNN? Come on Holz, get off the drugs mate.

It's his bye. Suckers and waters are too good value and Docherty looks good in a position that is starved of rookies.

I can see Thompson and Simpson averaging similar and even though Thompson is more expensive that bye helps.

Vinny

Carlton have a round 9 bye mate, haha.

So do suckers waters Docherty that's the problem.

In fact I picked Thompson for his round 8 bye.

Vinny

Fair enough, but I wouldn't pick Docherty to be honest mate. He isn't a lock 22, he will need to earn his spot.

i think he will eanr it during the preseason. no other backman really are showing up. Mcdonald im not 100% sold will make out squad and battersby is just clutching at straws.

we need some backman to show up in the preseason, not paying for Kade and Sharenberg at their price.

Vinny

Yeah fair enough, there is literally no one. Hope SC doesn't follow with high rookie prices.

Jarrad McVeigh, Pearce Hanley, Scott Thompson Matt Suckling,Beau Waters, Sam Docherty
James Battersby, Luke Mcdonald

Scott Pendlebury, Joel Selwood, Tom Rockliff, Ryan Griffen Dayne Beams, Dom Tyson, Dominic Sheed, Claye Beams
Luke Dunstan, Jack Martin

Nic Naitanui, Todd Goldstein
Liam McBean, Sam Naismith

Dustin Martin, Patrick Dangerfield,Mitch Clark Shaun Higgins, Shane Kerston, Ben Lennon,
Jesse Hogan, Jonathon Patton

mixed some things up with the postional changes. If SC keeps prices for rookie like last year and doesnt follow DT this is team is possible.

Round 8 12
Round 9 8
Round 10 10
Looks pretty good to me. Would probably drop Hanley to a back rookie if team isn't affordable (assuming there is one available). I saw your post about Griffen vs Watson in some other thread, personally I think Watson will just do better, but you could definitely be right with Griffen, and after this year, I'm not going to debate it :P

I'm starting to look at Mitch Clark in the forward line as well if rookie prices are increased. Maybe even if they're not and I need someone else cheap and that will score alright to make $$$

Nic Naitanui, Todd Goldstein
Liam McBean, Sam Naismith

Patrick Dangerfield, Dustin Martin, Lance Franklin, Mitch Honeychurch, Jonathon Patton, Ben Lennon

200k left in the bank once I pick up a 150k defender. I think this team is defaintely possible.

I always like to have a strong midfield but the choice was Thomas + Buddy + 120k v Griffin + M.Clark

thomas becomes ablett round 10.

round 8: 12
round 9: 7
round 10:10

undecided: 1

Nice work Holz, looks good.
Good to see you have taken the byes into consideration.
Not that it really matters but McBean is a FWD only I'm pretty sure and I'm not sure that Lennon will get many games.
Not 100% sure on Thomas and no Ablett until round 10 could leave you behind and is risky, but you know what you're doing.  ;)

Holz

hopefully i can find a cheaper back than 150k so i could have something like 220k in the bank. Hopefully prices dont move too much and i can go Lennon to M.Clark.

Honeychurch at F4? Umm no

Kerston Hogan and Patton on field.

Lennon and Honeychurch on the bench (these guys can be changed)

Def: very strong, can't fault.
Mid: I think Ablett is a must but it's your choice to go with Selwood instead. Not confident in daisy averaging more than 95 which will make him frustrating.
Ruck: perfect. Replacement needed for mcbean.
Fwd: you have franklin now? I think he's a good choice but I'm sure you have been against him all pre season. Also surprised you don't have Pav after calling him a must have quite often?

Holz

if they stick with the current prices and i have the cash will go with buddy. they were only 50k difference and I had some left over cash.

daisy is really just yeah there to average around 90. if he can go 90 in the first 9 rounds he will go up around 100k and at 450k than bring in a premo.

im starting to lose confidence in selwood over ablett. just feel more comfrtable having pendles or ablett captain.
