#16 Ryan Griffen - Western Bulldogs

Requested by Big Mac

Name: Ryan Griffen
Age: 27 years, 3 months
Team: Western Bulldogs
Position: Midfielder
Bye: Round 9

2013 Low: 53
2013 High: 176
2013 Average: 116.4
2013 Pre-Bye Average: 122.9
2013 Post-Bye Average: 112

Fanplanner Price: $622,700

Predicted average: 110

Verdict: After an outstanding season in 2013 you'll be paying top dollar for Ryan if you wish to start him. He's only had one elite year and dropped off a fair bit late in the season averaging just 99.8 in his last 5 games. He does have a handy bye round but in my opinion you're better off sticking with the proven super premiums at that price such as Ablett, Selwood, Pendlebury, Swan and Watson. Will be an upgrade target if he can back up 2013.

I think. Starting one of him and Libba is almost required due to byes but I'm going Libba more upside IMO

Dayze

Yeh more upside in libba. Tag is always going to go to griff so the occasional stinker is never too far away.

tbagrocks

The most underrated or lest talked about star in the AFL?

Right in line for my front line, should even be better imo

Dayze

U just love being different tbagger.
If its the cliche player ie pendlebury ur not interested haha
I know how u work.

Ricochet

I didn't see his last few games but any reason for his drop off?

Libba is just as likely in 2014 to get the tag as Griffo is and i think that Griffo scores better than Libba when tagged

With everyone going Libba, Griffo could be a good unique

Dayze

Teams normally avoid tagging the inside midfielders.
Griffen has such a good outside game it would b crazy to leave him loose.
Libba is a gun and will attract more attention but I am very very confident the number one tag will stay with griffen for at least another season.
This is what makes Libba such an attractive 2014 option.

Jroo

He's a GUN and he should be unique. I know I'm considering.

Dayze

He will definedly b unique.
He was fairly unique last year even after smashing it early.
Could score u a 150+ in the first few rounds and get u off to a flyer.
Lil bit risky for me tho I'm keeping it safe

Kellogscrunchynut

Now the captain, should be able to handle the title and continue to score well.

quinny88

Captain Griff. Seriously considering. Need a player from that bye

Ricochet

Wonder if the Captaincy will affect him like it has to others

Can go one of 2 ways can't it. Some players rise some players become too "team orientated"
Hopefully he just keeps doing his thing. Age 27, so mature and in his prime. I'll back him to have a big season
