2013 Low: 26
2013 High: 139
2013 Average: 76.22
2013 unsubbed average: 77.6
2013 Pre-Bye Average: 63.9
2013 Post-Bye Average: 84.1

Fanplanner Price: $407,700

Verdict: Paul Roos has made it no secret that Jack Watts will see more midfield time in 2014 and i think we're finally about to see the full potential of Watts. Priced at around 400k he's definitely worth considering however Dale Thomas 50k cheaper is a lot more appealing, but you could definitely do worse than take the punt on Watts.

Holz

I really want to pick him, but he breaks all my rules about picking players.

Roos said he would playing in the midfield because that seems to be the trend having big guys in there and that his skills were good for this , that's all I need to hear lock him in back or forward line.  ;)

My Chumps

Could potentially be a gun if he does indeed play more in the guts. If he's a defender, I think I might nab him at that price as I'm not too confident in many backline premiums (Shaw, Birch, no Goddard).

Yeah rule #1 player must have a pair of balls. Jack Watts. Negative

Can't stand this bloke. Will be just as shower in the midfield as he is everywhere else on the ground.
Only time he goes ok is when he plays on no one lose in the back line. Soft as butter

Big Mac

Hoping Roos can instill a bit of confidence in him. He's got the skills to play in the midfield, it's just whether or not he wants to use them.

Vinny

Too risky for me, could be a good player with the right coach. Maybe a 2015 prospect. Dont think he will be a Top 6 forward or back and he probably won't have DPP in 2015 and won't be a Top 8 midfielder unless we see massive improvement.

He is a #1 pick, may not be the best of them but he wasn't pick for nothing.

HA this is gold. I so agree! Most overated no.1 ever. He has talent but no heart, grunt, balls, whatever u want to call it.

Dayze

Watts is the exact type of decision I promised I would stay away from.
I can understand the appeal of him. It is tempting. But if he can't cut it playing a loose unaccountable role off halfback, then the heat of the midfield is going too b very hard. He just isn't that good a player.
I'll take a couple of risks like a motlop, daizy or maybe a Sandilands, but not a risk this big.
It COULD come off for u guys, but 90% certain it won't.

I rate him and will provably break my rule if he shoes sonething in the nab. He us very similar to kachy Hansen at the roos and he is looking good now, you just see where they fit.

Vinny

I think it is exaggerated how much of a spud he is, he can't be that bad. I won't start him but I don't think he is terrible.

Dayze

He's not terrible. He is co ordinated for a bloke so tall.
He was under age from memory when drafted aswell.
But the number one draft pick normally has such pedigree. Goddard, Murphy, hodge, cooney, deledio, gibbs, reiwoldt...
He is arguably the worst number one of the last 15 years. Probably alongside scully.

Vinny

Yep you are probably right there man, but I think it's too early to make a call.

EZA100

Definitely won't be fooled by his pre season scores because he stuffed me over at the start. Even if he does produce some good scores this pre season i will only consider him if he brings that form into the start of the home and away season.

Vinny

Yeah I am not taking any NAB cup games into account for bringing in new players into my squad but more so to monitor by absolute locks in case something causes me to get rid of them for example injuries, change of role etc.
