NEW Fremantle recruit Scott Gumbleton says he is over the injury issues that have plagued him in the past.

However the 25-year-old knows that he is not guaranteed a spot in the starting line-up at his new club.

Anthony Morabito trained fully, nearly 11 months on from his third knee-reconstruction. The 22-year-old attempted to return during the 2013 season but was rested in August to be ready for day one of the pre-season.

Gumbleton wasn't the only new face at the Dockers training session with 21-year-old Irishman Sean Hurley starting a two-week trial with Fremantle before the club decides whether to sign the Gaelic footballer as an international rookie.

Spinking

Really hope this is is true.  Deserves a few injury free years, and would be good for Freo to have a win for taking a punt on him.

Josh Simpson really struggled with the running and was overtaken in a 1km time trial (run around the oval)

Murray Newman like? that is not good at all. Might get sent back to train with Peel like SonSon was sent back to Swan Districts

Actually just realised how bad this is... 1km is only 2 laps of the oval basically. Thought it was a 3kmer for some reason.
That is bad, very very bad

2.5 laps actually. Also, we dont know how many back-to-back time trials were run yesterday either.  It could have been their 5th one of the day.  He was lapped by Menegola who is an elite runner

Depends where you run it but yeh 2-2.5 laps... Yeh Menegola can seriously run, needs to show a bit this year i reckon having spent a few years on the rookie list

Noz

So does a fit Gumby make the starting 22 guys?

Would this push Pav up the ground to play like a Riewoldt role?

Or would they just settle with a 2 pronged attack

Ricochet

Tbh I'm not too sure mate. A little bit, but personally I would want Pav to stay deep and limit his kms to make sure his body holds up throughout the year
