Why are people so keen on Bock? 30 years old, Key forward, played 5 games in the last 2'seasons, average JS and under investigation by ASADA. Sure he's a tempting Price, but isn't Patton/Michie/Karnezis/Rooks better value? Sounds like a dud to me.

Haven't had a look at the Fanplanner yet, but I assume he'd be pretty cheap? If he has a solid pre-season (no signs of pain in his leg from the broken leg etc) then I'll probably find a spot for him.

Will have better JS than any other rookies and shouldn't be too much dearer in price (unless VS decide to bump it up a bit). DEF/FWD DPP handy as well.

Agree there. He should get DPP. But that still won't be enough for me to put him in my team.

This is my reasoning for considering him, not that I'll probably end up getting him in.

Gold Coast didn't trade to get any key forwards this off-season and the guys they have are still young and developing. If they want to make finals they need someone experienced down there which is where I can see Bock playing as their defence seemed to settle a bit this season.

The Suns midfield will step up another level in 2014 which means he should get some super service and he's shown previously  that he can score well.

In fact in general he's been a pretty decent scorer when he's been fit and on the park.

You may not know this as well but a few games before he played his one AFL match this year Bock booted 9 nine goals. Though it was the NEAFL.

Also fwd/def would be handy especially if there is another cheap link.

i took a quick look as a DEF option (given the lack of rooks other than Scharenberg - i haven't done proper DEF research yet)
as a forward though, nope... Michie, Patton, Karnezis are all ahead of him

While we are at it NRich why don't we ask everyone if these are fair comments you made about Bock.

1. Would rather start with Campbell Brown and Spud Dawson than this person

2. Well who picks spuds under investigation by ASADA, who has played 5 afl games in 2 years and has shower JS (bar dons players)

3. Anyway, who picks key forwards?
