Position: Forward

Drafted: Round 2, Pick #36 2010 National Draft

In rounds 22,24 and 25 he was the sub

Port 2014 Fixture:

CAR, ADE, NTH, BRI, WC, GEE, GWS, FRE, BYE, HAW, MEL, STK, SYD, WB, ADE, ESS, RIC, MEL, COL, SYD, GC, CAR, FRE

HISTORY:

Putting in several best on ground performances for the Roosters in the SANFL, Young was awarded his debut jumper in Round 5 2012 against the Crows. Being subbed on in the third quarter, he set up a goal in his first act of play on the biggest stage in South Australian football (Showdown)

After Young's impressive debut, his season hit a road bump when he injured his ankle against the Dockers two weeks later.

Returning later on in the season against Geelong, he played the final nine out of ten games for the year. A strong finish to the season had him raring to go for a bumper second year.

Played 5 games late in 2013 being the sub three times.

SUMMARY:

Young is a promising midfielder who can move forward and kick goals. Has showed scoring potential scoring well in the limited time he has had on ground (sub).

Averaged 58 and is priced at $221,400 in the Fanplanner after a 30% discount.

Young is another forward in this price range that could prove to be a decent pick up early in 2014 but will you select him over the likes of Michie and Karnezis.

PLAYER PROFILE UPDATE:  24/12/2013 .. Young is valued at $249,800 and is a bit too expensive to be considered in 2014 even though i think he will average 70+ , its the other players that are cheaper that puts me off.. M.Clarke, A.Fasolo, Karnezis, Patton

Quality young player but not fantasy relevant enough, bit like Paul Stewert

Yeah, im thinking he's a better Supercoach prospect (depending on his supercoach price) but probably wont make my team unless he kicks ass in the Nab

Toga

Very reasonable scores when he was given the vest makes me think he can do well in full games. Definitely on my watch list!

Vinny

I like this kid, won't be fantasy relevant but he will be a good player one day.

Noz

One of our better players throughout the finals now that the coaching staff has faith in him he will play more senior footy in 2014 but can't see him getting better than a 70 average.

Why does the FF stats only say he played 3 games in 2013?

He played the last 3 games than the 2 finals maybe they haven't updated the finals yet.

Ah ok that makes sense, didn't realise the last 2 were finals
