#14 Grant Birchall - Hawthorn Hawks

Requested by _wato

Name: Grant Birchall
Age: 25 years, 9 months
Team: Hawthorn
Position: Defender
Bye: Round 9

2013 Low: 30
2013 High: 152
2013 Average: 92
2013 unsubbed average: 96.1
2013 Pre-Bye Average: 96.8
2013 Post-Bye Average: 83.6
2013 Average being tagged: 69.6

Fanplanner Price: $492,700

Predicted average: 85-90ppg

Verdict: Too easily tagged out of the game for my liking, IMO should be the first tagged at Hawthorn for the rest of his career, if he proves he can cop a tag and maintain an average of around 100 then we should all be jumping on but seeing the average whilst being tagged will most likely scare many off.

Holz

3 straight 90+ seasons.

This year will be his 4th.

Depends if you care about league or overall

I only care about my rank so 150 one week 50 the next is still a 100 average.

Also that was only this year, he used to be a guy who would pump out 80-110 every week.

It's all suckers, you can't put a really hard tag on him as suckling will go crazy. The downside is with suckers they split the ball use so I don't think we will see as many monster games.

I expect him to be more consistent next year.

Dayze

So wierd. This time last year birch was a model of consistency with a low standard deviation and ceiling.
Then bam the exact opposite.
Suckling could well b the reason.
Almost forgot the two of them played off halfback together.
Hodge birch and suckling is a ridiculously good half back line.

Understood, but a guy that's gonna throw in sub 50 scores will be a cheap pick up at some stage.
Guerra just retired to don't forget. He was a main distributor out of the back half. Hopefully birch takes some more kick ins .

He used to be Mr Consistent but yeh I think no Suckling changed that a bit, he's in my side atm, he should get back to that consistent form. But picking defenders is so hard at this stage without knowing who will have DPP.

Thanks mate, great write up.

Yeah, I have locked him also, think he'll get back to that 95+ consistent average.
