Backs: Grimes, waters , t. Greene , suckling  , Bock, scharnenberg  ( gardiner, hams )

Mids: abblett , swan , Pendles , beams , griffen, Watson , montagna , Ellis ( Salem , Martin )

Rucks : Sandilands , macintosh  ( mc bean , currie )

For : Natanui , Franklin , chapman , thomas , fasolo , hogan  ( Cameron , Lennon )

I have taken plenty of risks , but hoping some of these potentially gun players such as , grimes , Greene , etc , can be injury free & produce some healthy scoring & generate some cash .  I have gone for a strong mid field , with only 1 premium required to finish off the Mids . There will plenty of options for that last spot in the mid . We all need to try a new strategy & for myself , I'm looking for consistent scoring . I'm sure there will be plenty of updates as the new season arrives . Anyway , enjoy picking your gun teams for season 2014

Yep 2300 every week, if the salary cap was 20 million. ;)

You cannot afford to start that squad mate, use the flanplanner so you can do a real mock squad.

MASTER

I did it on fan planner boys , $ 22,000 !

Well, flower.

Goddard should lose DPP, but can be replaced my any top tier defender
I guess there's nothing to be said about that midfield. But should lock in Martin as one of your rookies
Rucks are ok, although considering your midfield, I think it would be more beneficial to drop a midfield premo to a rookie, and change Grundy into a premo ruck
SJ will lose DPP, but he too can be replaced with any other forward. Would suggest Dusty

Hmmm, now that I think about it, I guess it is possible considering the cheap backline.

Few things man:
- Goddard will probably lose DPP
-Varcoe's price is incorrect, he will be closer to 300k. Monty got that wrong by accident.
-Six midfielders is a bad idea, not enough defender rookies and you make most money in midfield.
- Jack Martin? Matt Crouch? Luke McDonald? etc.
- Johnson won't keep DPP

I would choose 5 defenders at maximum, 4 forwards & at least 3 defenders in terms of premiums. Most of the prices are abit low and when the actual prices are released you won't be able to afford this anyway.

For your defenders consider: Hibberd, Walker, Birchall, Hanley, Simpson, Suckling, Bartel, McVeigh, Thompson.

Just my thoughts mate. :)

Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Beams, Selwood, Cotchin, Ellis (Brandon?) and Stevie J all share the same bye. Your team would get, I'm sorry to say, destroyed that round. I'd recommend doing some research into the byes to maintain an even spread of premiums over the three rounds. I can assure you would not score 2300+ for round 8.

I find it unlikely that there will be two gun rookies in defence worthy of being on the ground. The midfield is where the rookies perform the best and make the most money. I get what your aiming at with the high powered midfield, but with a lack of genuine defence and forward rookie options, you might have to hold off that approach until 2015.

True, better rookies in the mids but same can be said but same can be said with the premiums!

What would you rather, a defender premium with a 95 average and Mid rookie at 75, or a Mid premium at 115 and a back premium at 60?

I'd certainly take the less cash generation but the potential of huge 140+ midfield scores, rather than an inconsistent back premo which everyone seems to be these days!
